We had patatas bravas, chorizo, pan con tomate, olives with anchovies and my kids had an enormous hamburger topped with chèvre. The meal was truly excellent. The chorizo was simmered in a wine sauce which we subsequently used as a dip for bread.... beautiful. After this feast we had squid with risotto in an ink sauce. It was a bit salty, but the squid was fresh and the ink sauce was so good we asked for more bread. Despite ordering enough for a small army, when the bill came we were shocked to see how little everything cost.

The toasted fresh French bread was unreal, broth was onion and creatively flavored and not remotely salty as many FOS can be, topped off with a perfect local cheese. Ruined French Onion Soup for me until we return. Wife's Entrecote (steak) was served on a broiler heated stone, keep sizzling and cooking for 10 minutes after service. Served with a broiled tomato, peas and Shoshito type pepppers, absolute flavor perfection in local Huesca style. Unbelievably good. Fantastic bottle of Spanish red resulted in one of those meals that was just perfect. I had the chicken crochettes which were very good, had a middle eastern flavor, nice but get the soup and entrecote and you'll be thanking me later. Great environment, comfortable, casual and near a most beautiful national park for amazing hiking and views. Now, if everything above didn't sell you on this literally hidden gem, the Creme Brulee desert was the best we ever had. Crispy top with a ridiculously light, sinfully delicious without being to sugary custard. Game changer for the category. Loved Espot!!! Loved La Llupia!!! Make a reservation if you want that, though inside is ok too. The owner Pablo is a great guy, who wants a fun time, good vibes, great food. Their music playlist is excellent coming (from an American), though it's mostly Spanish folks in the restaurant. The food is inventive and multicultural, leaning towards Spain and Mexico (the owner is Argentinian). It was quite a bit higher priced than Barcelona, but our dinner was under $100 for two people including a bottle of wine and three large tapas. We had the cerviche, which had mussels, shrimp, calamari, really good. A side of cabbage with chimichuri and a delicious thousand island-like sauce. We also ordered the fish special, which was monkfish with hen of the woods mushrooms. So good! Definitely recommend if you are in Tossa.

Bar none, this is the best place we have ever eaten at in our lives. This is no hyperbole. We made reservations for eight pm, and were seated immediately. the service at this place was unlike any we have experienced in Europe so far. The staff were friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive. They gave us free, good-quality sangria, as well as a delicious tomato bread. The escargots were perfectly cooked, the grilled chicken was tender and flavorful, and all the food arrived in record time. We ordered, and it came in less than ten minutes. The desserts are also worth mentioning--I would particularly recommend the fresh cheesecake with blueberries, which was the lightest I've ever had. And to top it all off, they brought us a heirba liqueur and slices of cake. This place is a great value, the service was almost unreal, and the food was amazing. I went with family, but I would recommend it to anyone.
