Great dental office!! They were able to help me with a cap for my back tooth! The Dr. was attentive, and thorough with the explanation of what needed to be done. He showed x-rays and photos of my tooth to show why I needed what he recommended. This was definitely a plus for me. I've been going to Cal Dental for a couple of years.They are the kindest, most professional team! From being greeted at the front desk by the lovely Yoselyn, who takes care of payments, providing pricing and setting up appointments. She's so nice and takes the time to ask about your day, how your appointment went and answer any questions. If you do not have insurance, they will work with you and set you on a payment plan. Then we have my favorite hygienist Ariel, my teeth/gums have never healthier! He's very detailed in his work and takes the time to explain and answer all questions. He's very friendly, I always feel comfortable. I've gotten plenty of work done here from, a root canal, crowns, deep cleanings and just today I finished my Invisalign Treatment. I was treated by the owner Dr. Kim, who told me that day, when he finished a crown, that he was retiring, he was very good!. I asked him that another dentist Dr. Ari. in his Dental clinic wanted to submit non emergency crown replacements, he said no, if they're not emergencies.Then I went back for 2 cavities, and Dr Ari put anesthesia, and then suddenly his sister showed up, asking him to work on her teeth, he left me waiting with the novocaine, I was feeling like I couldn't breath, I have allergies! Until after awhile, like 30 min I told him why he was making me wait so long after he started treating me, and the receptionist Jocelyn, starting arguing with me in a very rude tone, very unprofessional! The Doctor came back and finished the cavity, he was Ok. So then in March 16 2024, I made an appointment to go back, I was felling something in my back front tooth, I showed up on March 21st/2024, and the Dr Ari was there, I told him that all the requests he sent to Denti-Cal were rejected, because they're not emergencies!, and the same receptionist Jocelyn, started telling me that I was rude by letting him know, that her Boss Dr Kim said they were no emergencies. I told her I was not talking to her, she keep arguing with in a very nasty tone, and the she said she'll call her supervisor, and that I had to go, I told her I was going to make a complaint to the Dental Board, and she said go ahead. This person Jocelyn has to be retrained, or replaced and Dr Kim has at least to come a check his Dental Clinic. The bottom line they have bad customer service, and they're sending requests to Denti-Cal that are no emergencies. I was very disappointed, I didn't insult anybody, I was just telling them the facts of the Denti-Cal claims. read more

Got charged $500 for a "deep cleaning" and told me they would send it out to my insurance to see if they would approve my deep cleaning so I could get reimbursed. They called me and let me know that I got approved for the deep cleaning and that my next dental cleaning would be covered instead of getting a reimbursement. I asked them how much got approved because I wanted to see if I could get maybe two of them covered since I paid $500 but the lady at the front desk told me she couldn't see an amount that it only says it got approved. Went to another place two months later and they let me know that my teeth still need a deep cleaning. Called this place back to get a refund since they didnt give me an actual deep cleaning. Just for them to turn it around and call it something else. These people are not trust worthy. They are scammers. Go literally anywhere else read more

Dr Ko has been my husbands dentist since he was like 6 yrs old and he is now 36 yrs old. He has converted me to go to him for the last 5 years. He took out one of my back molar and filled in a cavity, was kind of a big one, and has done my yearly teeth cleanings with no issues ever. We used to live in the valley but even moving to west covina, we still make the trip out to get our teeth checked by him due to trust. Been coming here for 30 years and you cannot find another honest dentist like Dr. Ko ever. I referred many of friends because of the dishonest service that they had received from their previous dentist(s). Long story short, their previous dentist would try to extract tooth that isn't necessary and/or do cavity treatment when there isn't a cavity so they can make money. But, some of my friends were suspicious and wanted a second opinion and Dr. Ko took a look and said nothing needed to be done and did inform one of my friends that if he takes care of his small cavity that it will go away. The thing I appreciated about this Dentistry is its small communal essence; I'm not waiting for hours, Rosalind (the head front desk associate) knows me by name, and they seem to care about my teeth and bank account. Now recently they've added some new employees and I'm not fully sure how I feel about them, yet.
