The apertivo did come with some bread and nuts and spreads, but any substantive food was ordered and paid for separately here. Everything was great including our service, with the waiter having to come all the way out to us on the beach. They also have a more formal restaurant on the other side of the boardwalk from the beach club. I believe that has a different menu.

The sausages were extremely tasty, and the mustard just got enough. The beer I chose was very unique, it was a black blonde, so it's a blonde beer made with heavily roasted malt. It was dark and drinkable with hints of caramel. I also tried the smoked pork loin and weissbier, both were great. We didn't have desert but I saw some gorgeous chocolate fondue, giant ice cream sundaes and strudel. If you're heading to the beach near Grosseto, I would definitely make the drive for a truly memorable dinner.

Claudio is the proprietor and pizzaiolo, originally from Naples I believe, but now a resident of Elba. The mojitos here are exceptional. There are just a couple of pasta dishes and I'm a fan of the trofie al pesto. Among the pizzas, I dig the Bufalina, which is like a margherita with buffalo mozzarella. This is a very chill spot next to the harbor, where the music has switched from reggae last summer to slow jams.
