The workers have such an eye for detail and treat your property with respect. They cordoned off the kitchen with plastic while painting the cabinet boxes, and then the doors were sent to their spray lab. They cleaned up so well after leaving. 4 years ago I hired Caldwell painting to paint my house. This was done after a lot of boards on the exterior were replaced by a different company. Pant job looked fantastic upon completion. However, last year we noticed a lot of fading of the paint and it was primarily on the boards that were replaced. I called Bart and asked him to come look at it and advise me on what the next step should be. He suggested that we have the house washed, which we did. It looked better but did not solve the problem. This is where he amazed me. He sent his guys back out and put another coat of paint over almost the entire house. All of this at NO CHARGE!!!. Now that is really standing behind your work. He had no obligation to do this. If I have any need for painting in the future, I will definitely call Caldwell and highly recommend them. read more

Don't waste your time or your money with this company. They may have a better reputation in Nashville, but their quality of service at my family's house in the Memphis area continued to decline over a number of specific jobs. They require a non-refundable 20% deposit of the overall estimate just to put you on their schedule. You are lucky if they are able to start your project within 4-6 weeks. Additionally, their final invoice was over the agreed upon amount in two out of three of their previous jobs. The paint on the last job (less than a year ago) is already bubbling and peeling of the wall. They also painted over painter's tape and didn't bother to take curtain rods, brackets or existing nails out of the wall prior to commencing painting. There are much better painters in the area that may take a bit longer due to not having a full crew, but the results will be much better. read more

I recently engaged Caldwell Painting to undertake a major residential painting project to include the interior, exterior, exterior of an attached garage, and repairs of wood on a 90 year old home in Memphis, TN, and while the overall experience was positive, there were a few areas where they fell slightly short of perfection. Caldwell Painting's professionalism and expertise were evident from the outset. The initial consultation was informative, and they provided a comprehensive competitive bid. The team was knowledgeable and provided valuable recommendations. The quality of the painting work was commendable. The painters exhibited skill and precision, leaving a well-finished and attractive result. The newly painted areas of my home looked refreshed and vibrant, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the final outcome. However, there were a couple of hiccups that prevent me from rating this experience as a perfect 5/5. From the time of estimate to being able to start was like 3 weeks and we had a hard deadline for family members to move in. We needed at least the inside to be painted before cleaning and move-in. Probably the biggest issue was in communication with the estimator/project manager. We were told the project would start on July 26th and the crew didn't arrive for the inside until like 3PM on the 27. We were not communicated with that they couldn't paint match the existing exterior color until after they painted the eves which limited our color selection choices. In addition, they failed to engage the kitchen cabinet painters in a timely manner to remove cabinet doors to paint them in their shop until after the move-in. Their delay in getting started caused them to miss the interior finishing deadline cause us to have to reschedule cleaning and delay move in. This communication issue caused frustration and ended up needing to speak with the owner Bart. Bart explained the estimator was new and worked with us to bring the project to a close. In conclusion, Caldwell Painting is a reputable choice for painting services in Memphis, TN. Their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to the craft are commendable. While there were some issues, the overall painting of the interior and exterior was excellent. I would recommend Caldwell Painting for your painting needs, with the confidence that you will receive a high standard of workmanship. read more
