Definitely need to have public servant accountable. Went to District 7 for a police report. The cop with the UK accent kept arguing with me something 3 years ago and it's about civil matters when I was referring it to the current harassment (criminal matters). He even tried to argue and judge a civil matter that he has no legal knowledge of because he is not a lawyer nor he is not in a capacity of doing so. In the middle of writing the report, he said it's ridiculous and asked me to go to another email and he refused to write it. Wondering what is the reason he refused to do his job? If everything was nice why did I come for a police report? It's a classic example of public servant getting too lazy and refused to do his job for no reason. The Calgary police care more about lives than medical personnel. I have PTSD from living with a psycho for 30 years. I had a bad trigger and overdosed. The police were there in no time at all. Constable Gibbs and his partner were kind, caring and took good care of me. The hospital staff at Rockyview were rude, dismissive and they were yelling at me. Spoke with two officers from one district & another from report line . Asked both how they were doing but definitely were not concerned how I was doing . To ask how someone is doing may go a long way for there day . Considering we are in a mental health crisis across the world. A little disappointed since the police are supposed to care ! I got pulled over in Calgary 4 years ago or so, the year before Covid, I lived in Saskatchewan at the time. in Saskatchewan the insurance and registration is on one piece of paper. she wrote me up for a ticket for not having proof of insurance because my registration and insurance weren't on two different forms. she would not listen to me in any way shape or fashion, I asked her to call her supervisor, she laughed at me. I literally got my vehicle towed, had to deal with massive amounts of fines for nothin, I was too sick at the time to deal with them in court. To this day this ticket she wrote me for something I didn't even do is still causing me issues. I got pulled over for absolutely nothing except for being brown. she literally just said she wanted to check out my insurance. terrible terrible horrible awful experience With these Jack asses. All of them. I have nothing good to say about them. Half of them are thieves. read more

A Calgary, Alberta Police officer knowingly lied to Police Standards after he assaulted me in my car. The constable who assaulted me issued a routine traffic ticket and I was ready to drive away, ticket in hand. But when I attempted to close my car door, he slapped my hand down from the door handle repeatedly. I complained to Police Standards who did NOTHING and even lied to say that the court would hear my case in laying of private information. The court wouldn't hear my case. I have horrible PTSD from the incident. What a corrupt dishonest organization, and it's only cops in Alberta who get away with this because of a loophole in the Alberta Police Act. I have been followed and bullied so much by Calgary Police Services that I recognize them in undercover vehicles, and in gyms, sweating under their baseball caps, bullying me. They are deceitful, even Police Standards, and the courts are in bed with Canada's police. I wrote about this in Yelp on 2020-12-21 but Calgary Police got into Yelp's site to edit my review, writing: "The officer is completely innocent." While understanding that the police service's raison d'etre isn't to serve customers (what Yelp reviews are really for) but to keep citizens safe, I'm posting this here because I haven't really found another public online forum to say thank you to them. Last week I lost my brand new $1500 iPhone by accidentally knocking it into my garbage bag filled with recycling and disposing of said bag in my condo's recycling dumpster. I didn't realize it was gone at first, then several days later the phone's tracking system (FindMyiPhone) detected it at a city recycling facility - highly unusual that it was still intact and emitting a signal at all, as I was informed by the City that cell phones almost always get smashed/crushed by heavy-duty machinery at the plant soon after arriving. Not too long after though, the tracking displayed my lost phone moving through the city, eventually settling on a home. Someone had found it! So I called my phone multiple times as the day went on, but the person didn't pick up (although battery power to the device was sufficient and the phone was on, according to FindMyiPhone). So I remotely locked the phone and made it display the message, "this phone is lost. Please call 403-xxx-xxxx (my parents' number)'. Then the person with my phone actually did call that number, but when my father picked up they hung up and continued not answering my calls. At this point, technically speaking, this wasn't a exactly a theft as much as it was a case of a lost iPhone that was found by a worker at a recycling facility who decided to keep it for themselves for the time being. I contacted the police that evening to see if they could help me. Although they were very busy and there was a major violent incident occurring in the city that took precedence (*obviously*), after several hours an officer called me back and said he would go to the house the tracking was displaying to see if he could get my phone back. He was on the night shift, so later on in the night I got another call back from him - he said he had gone to the home and the person relinquished the phone to him! He then drove to my condo, a solid 30 minutes away, to deliver it to me! I was so relieved and astonished I got this thing back after all it had gone through! The police do such an important job of keeping the public safe and taking down bad guys that you would think they wouldn't have time for such a minor issue. That's why I was so impressed with the Calgary Police. That in the middle of a busy night with violent things going on in the city and them having to deal with it, this officer still took the time to get my lost/stolen iPhone back when he was able to. I understand that oftentimes they can't get stolen items back once they're gone, but in this case they did - so thank you. Of note, remarkably, although the screen looked pretty banged up at first from going through the Recycling plant's machinery, when I removed the glass screen protector, it was in perfect shape with no cracks. I had a good case protector too, and after removing it, the phone was totally unscathed including the cameras. Crazy considering they normally get destroyed! In summary, I am so thankful to this officer and the Calgary Police in general for their efforts to help me and I just wanted to put a good "review" for them.
