We've always said "U.A.H." stands for…read more"University At Home." :) It's not a traditional American University with a football team, sororities and fraternity houses, it's known as a hockey school and maybe a decent soccer school. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's son attendeed here and played soccer (or hockey, I don't recall) for at least one year. Althoufh U.A.H. is known for its science, engineering, and technology curricula I majored in Graphic Design and minored in English. I enjoyed the graphics training I received here and enjoyed playing tennis for UAH on a small scholarship. I'm grateful to have U.A.H. in my hometown as it is a good alternative for students who don't want to relocate to places like Tuscaloosa or Auburn to get their college experience. Despite not being a liberal arts college, I have had a great career with my U.A.H. credentials. Be sure to visit U.A.H. prior to attending and make sure it's a good for for you!

I had no prior dancing instruction and no natural ability. Rick is great at breaking the steps down and explaining the moves. Like the other reviewer said, he's super patient and really fun. We were given 4 balls of clay to throw and mold into shapes we wanted. At the end of the class, we decided what glaze, if any, we wanted. These pieces are to be picked up with the glaze in 2 weeks. The instructors were very friendly and helpful. They were very patient with my girlfriend and me. I had a good time even though I was a little frustrated with myself. I definitely recommend trying this activity out! I'll probably be back for a class myself in the future.

There are so many supplies you just can't find at bigger box stores, and Glenni does her best to source her products locally whenever possible. The two biggest sections are breastfeeding accessories and cloth diapering supplies (they even stock Green Mountain Diapers). They also have some Green Sprouts solid food accessories, a few baby carriers (Boba, Ergo, Ktan), a selection of baby clothes (some organic), and a few maternity items. If they don't have something you want, Glenni will often make a few phone calls to try and find it for you. Once I was in a cloth diapering "emergency" while in Atlanta, and she called all her GA counterparts trying to find me the supplies I needed! They are also a great source of knowledge for natural parenting and host pregnancy/birth/breastfeeding classes and mommy groups at the store. I've come here several times just to nurse my infant in the middle of a long shopping day. Glenni is very welcoming and sets you up with a footstool and nursing pillow, anything you need. She will offer help with any breastfeeding issues you may be dealing with. To sum up, I can't say enough good things about ANM. Their products, service, and philosophy are all wonderful. Why shop anywhere else for your baby needs??
