I came here with my brother and cousin on a Sunday afternoon. It was $14.99 each person for mini golf. There weren't any groups ahead of us and there was only one group behind us. We were able to go at our own pace without feeling the need to rush, so that was nice. As for the courses, they were okay. I wish they were more spaced out. At the end of each course and near the hole, there's a part where the barrier is low. Our balls kept going out and into the next course, which was a little annoying. In course 3, my cousin's ball got stuck in the castle/building prop. We were really confused when the ball didn't come out the other side, but we were able to find and take it out of the hole it was stuck in. After grabbing dinner for a birthday celebration, we planned on going bowling. We arrived next door at the Alley, and the vibe just wasn't for us. It was stupidly crowded, music so loud we had to yell at eachother. The place had more of a bar/club vibe than anything else. We decided to wander next door and check out the mini golf instead. Some 2000's throwback music was playing (but not obnoxiously loud) , a kids birthday party was wrapping up in the corner, and a handful of couples seemed to be enjoying their date nights. We decided to give this place a try. Overall it was a solid choice of entertainment for the evening. But I took a few stars away for the following reasons: 1. Cleanliness could be better. I sure hope they sanitize regularly. Might I even suggest hand sanitizer available and trash cans throughout the course. 2. The putting green where you place the ball at the start of each hole we're loose and spinning or completely detached on many of the holes. Looking to beat the brutal heat we opted for indoor mini golfing. Glow in the dark, dope! Staff was friendly. Course was ok. There is not much space to wait for people to take a turn if you are in a large group like we were. We just kinda had to stand at the previous hole or the upcoming. The biggest dealbreaker was the heat. It is a huge metal warehouse but the AC was not on so it was a very warm and unpleasant experience. I was dieing in shorts and a cooling shirt. It was hotter outside yes, but turn on the AC or get some fans. It was warm and muggy/humid. There is no food or drinks allowed inside but they also had none for sale inside. read more

Some of the floor "obstacles" were not secured to the floor and the "tee" starting areas were also not secured to the floor - they aren't maintaining the course. They gave us a post-it to keep score after we asked for a score card. apparently they didn't have any score cards. Maybe most holes were par 3? Who knows. And my review isn't about other people's kids but... other people's kids were running around the course while we were playing. So annoying. Not a fan. I dont recomend going here. I was not impressed. We came for a birthday party and there was no help anywhere to be found. Every where is understaffed so I get it, but don't take people's money for a party and not have sufficient staff. There were only 2 people working. We ordered food but they didn't bring any plates or napkins. We had to walk all the way to the other side to get it ourselves. No one helped with water so we had to get it from the bar. Did I mention You have to walk all the way to other side of the facility! A party of 14 kids, really, most places have jugs of juice and water ready. Cali glo has been on my list of places to try out with my little family. I read the story online regarding how it all started thanks to two little kids. Special thanks goes out to the children for using all their savings to start up this business. It's dark inside so if your kids are scared not the place to be. My kids are 5 and 2 years old. We had to pay $10 for each kid. It's the standard price for adults. For an hour of fun it was $40 for a family of four. I would recommend wearing white clothing inside since it glows. Parking: shared parking with bunch of other business and church. I would totally recommend adults or kids to try out the place. read more

They told us to use either Alley or Calfit bathroom which I thought business is required to have a bathroom. There are some construction items, equipment on the side and I saw two big screws on the ground that nailed to the group. If the kids fall on those screws, it would've been bad. Didn't end up using it because they only book a few laser tag sessions per hour and it was all booked. Could be a lot cooler. 107 degrees outside and no air conditioning or fans for circulation inside. Stuffy and hot. Mini golf is very old and falling apart. Dirty carpeting and linoleum tiles for putting not secured to floor. The course is not banked properly and the balls bounce off course too easily. The cost of new carpeting, plywood and cement pavers used for bordering could be recovered with a couple days of their overpriced ticket sales. I'm sure there's some artists at the local college or high school who would love to showcase their artwork here with ultraviolet sensitive paint. I'd love to support local businesses and have somewhere cool to take my kid on a hot day but unfortunately this place does not meet criteria. read more

The concept is really cool. Escape the heat, play some mini golf, whats not to love? Unfortunately, the execution is a bit hit-or-miss. The building feels a little run down, with its chipped flooring, defunct arcade games, and barely visible "glow in the dark" paintings on the walls. The mini golf holes are very basic, with only rudimentary, stationary set pieces. Overall, I would liken the aesthetic of this place to that of a county fair. That being said, its kinda got a "so bad, its good" thing going for it. My group enjoyed poking fun at some of the off model art work and strangely proportioned set pieces The biggest upside is that the AC worked very well and it's pretty inexpensive to play. Super disappointed. Scammers. We booked a birthday party there 2 weeks in advance. And had it on a Friday evening. Got the Cali glo mini golf & lazer tag package. And when we got there they didn't even know they had reservations for a party. They had to call someone. And we had to wait for the owner to get there. And he asked if we wanted to add anything to the 2 pizzas & Unlimited soda that 'came with the package'. And the pizza WAS SUPPOSE to come from the Alley (which is next door. And he came back with 2 Little Caesars $5 pizzas. Seriously!?! And only 2 two liters of soda. And there was NO WATER offered. They don't allow outside food...BUT ordered cheaper pizza for guests. Seriously?!? Paying $140 for $10 little Caesars pizza. Why? They didn't even have restrooms. They sent us 6 little kids to the nail salon NEXT DOOR!!!! They said the Alley wasn't opened yet so we can't use their bathroom. Soo just wanted to let you know Because they are Scammers. Don't see them staying open any longer. So Not worth to book a birthday party. The mini golf was super small space. They could have done something with the space. I just didn't see the worth. And after the first round of laser tag the kids were over it. Because there's no walls to hide behind. And it's basically an open space. They got bored. They need to utilize their space better. This is a really cool place. We went there to play indoor mini golf, but discovered there was so much more there. I only wish they had marked is a little better on the door. That was the entrance to everything else. You wouldn't even know there was more to the place by the mini golf area. They have bowling, a bar, really great food, pool, a game area., air, hockey and ax, throwing. My two complaints on this place are when you get game tickets from playing the games, the little things that they give you are so over priced. For example, a piece of candy was 75 tickets like come on man also in the golf area, they obviously have some major roof leakage, and there were several buckets full of water, and a caution sign literally in the middle of one of the miniature golf play areas. They need to get that fixed. Overall I love the place and would definitely go there just for the food if nothing else. read more

This is a very basic venue, but I think it still has some sort of appeal to kids. It was my turn to host my daughter and a few of her friends (ages 10-12) after one of their soccer games. My original plan was to take the to Strikes, but Cali Glo caught their eye. I paid for a round of golf and they were able to play right away. They very much enjoyed themselves, but mainly IMO because they still had energy to burn off. They also enjoyed a few games in the arcade area and all got small prizes. Ah yes, this was the site of my family's Epic January 2020 Grandma/Granddaughter mini Golf challenge of Supremacy....and first dibs for shower time slots in our communal bathroom. Am I proud I, a 36 year old woman, got completely owned by an 87 year old with a hump and balance issues? No. No I am not. We had my son's birthday party here, and I don't think I will ever come back. The food took forever so the party ran longer than expected. Not a big deal for me, but it was horrible for the parents coming to pick up their kids. Then, when the food finally arrived, there were no plates for the kids to eat on. We had a bunch of hungry kids just staring at pizza and wings. Then, while the kids were staring at the food waiting for plates, they started badgering me to settle the bill! Shouldn't the kids be the priority? I just wanted to get the kids fed and let them play laser tag. It's not like I was going anywhere. We had a party here, and had an underwhelming experience. They weren't prepared for us, so in the seating area there sacks of trash and ants everywhere. Since we already had guests on the way, we did our best to tidy with what we had, but it wasn't clean. Things seemed shabby.... Not sure if it was recently sold or if they're just slowly working on improvements, but the kids all noticed holes in the walls and broken equipment. And then there's the pizza and soda they offer with the package... the pizza wasn't big enough for two kids let alone the 8 kids we had in attendance. We paid for the additional pizza (it was $20 extra dollars), but two medium pizzas from Little Caesar's certainly was NOT even close to being enough food for eight kids. And it took soooo long for it to arrive. The kids were hangry. I wouldn't recommend their party package of golf, laser tag and pizza/soda at $35 a kid. The golf took maybe 10-15 minutes, and we were promised 3 rounds of laser tag and got only two. They hyped unlimited glow paint and tattoos, but didn't offer them. And again, the lack of food. I as an adult have been to many mini putt putt facilities, and this one was just a-okay. It could be I was a bit tired after bowling for two hours with my cuzzos, but also I didn't find the placement of the holes to be that strategic, or functional. Usually, when they have those "trap doors"/"shortcuts," the golf ball would project closely to the hole, but I found in two or more holes, that was not the case. Did anybody else have this issue? The whole glow in the dark thing was cool though, so bonus points for that! ALSO double bonus for being indoor-connected to the bowling place next door and for having a deal for unlimited bowling + mini golf + laser tag for like $30 pp? BUT BOO -- because laser tag had like an hour+ wait...that needs improvement. read more

We had a Laser Tag birthday party. We didn't receive drinks, food or start playing laser tag until an hour into the party. Mind you the party is only scheduled for 1.5 hour blocks. Many of the kids only played 1 or 2 games of laser tag because the gal working there didn't start the games until an hour after we had arrived despite multiple request and we ran out of time. When asked to speak to the manager she refused to call. We ended up having to go to The Alley to request someone so that we could proceed with the party. The gal at the desk (Danae) was completely inappropriate without any level of respect to the point that she should be fired on the spot. It's unfortunate that she is allowed to be blatantly rude and get away with it. It was exhausting dealing with her hostile attitude when we just wanted our kids to have fun. The birthday package is supposed to include 3 games per child at a cost of $25/per child. This did not happen due to the lack of organization. We were still charged the full amount and were told that we would have to email the generic company email if we wanted any refund or had an issue with the charges. They also would not provided me an itemized receipt and I believe I was overcharged. The manager stated he would email it. The email did not show the itemized cost either. I could go on and on about the service, unprofessionalism and lack of hospitality but I won't. I just wouldn't recommend having a birthday party there because it's not worth the stress, frustration, much of the equipment was broken and most of the services in the birthday package were not provided. Adults and kids were equally frustrated and one kids was in tears due to the experience. They just don't care about their guests. It's quite sad and a huge waste of money. I don't even know how they can charge and not provide all of the services. That in itself doesn't seem legal. I wish we had more options for birthday entertainment in Elk Grove. read more

Looking to celebrate my wife for her birthday and do it without being in the heat, we decided to stop by Cali Glo Indoor Entertainment. We arrived and paid for our admission and had to wait about 15 minutes to begin our game. The place is dark, because, you know, black lights don't work when it's light. You need to be aware of the course layout and that anything that glows is elevated and you can trip over it. :) You should also wear lots of white so you glow as well. The course was fun for the entire family from our 6-year-old to yours truly the 49-year-old. The theme is America's highway traveling through mostly California with each hole being a famous landmark. Throughout the course, large HDTVs hang playing music videos. This is a warning to concerned parents that the content is not the best and it may not be suitable for your child. Other than the music videos, Cali Glo Indoor Entertainment is a fun place to play miniature golf in a nice climate controlled atmosphere. Unlike other outside places with windmills and large items, due to the limited space, you'll find smaller but still fun obstacles. If you scout out each hole and can think outside of the box, then you can make each hole in 3 or less for nearly every one. If you go for the obvious in most cases, you'll be 5 or greater. My family didn't understand how I was able to do it. :) For a good quick fun round of miniature golf, stop by Cali Glo Indoor Entertainment. Play a few video games, air hockey, shoot hoops, or skeet ball while you wait your turn. You'll have a good time. read more

We arrived and I paid with my card. I was not told the total and they refused to provide a printed receipt. They asked for my phone number and I told them that has nothing to do with providing a receipt. I had to check my account statement to know the amount. The place is too crowded. Players from other groups kept stepping onto our hole. The holes have open ends so the balls roll off the course into other holes and hallways. Someone is going to trip on one of these balls and get hurt. The holes are very basic with little variation. The tee pads were loose and are going to end up tripping someone. I saw no bathrooms or signs for them. The man at the desk was disconnected and did not appear to want to be there. It was a bad experience and it is not safe. We will not be back. read more

Cool place. Came here with my almost 4 year old. Bummed out they don't have smaller golf clubs. We usually go to boomers and they have 3 sizes. Here they only have large and small but the small is too big for toddlers. My son loved mini golf so hopefully they will get the smaller size in the future. To play arcades, you need CASH to get tokens. I am used to buying a playing card with my debit card, so we didn't come prepared for that. I think they have an ATM by the bowling alley though. We didn't bother. Bathrooms are large and clean. There's even a hook for your purse- thank you. Most places don't have that. Parking was pretty full and we arrived at 11am on a Saturday, right when they open. But I still found a spot not too far away. read more

This is a fairly basic family entertainment place. Their miniature golf is set up indoors. It's done with movable pieces so they can change it periodically. They have it lit with black lights so the course kind of glows. The laser tag space is on the smaller side so I think you would have to limit your group to probably six people or less. When I was there with a friend there wasn't anyone else there so it was just the two of us playing laser tag. They have a small arcade area but every time I've been here there's been more than one game broken. Also if you were playing the games for tickets, I've had several times where the machines don't give out as many tickets as they were supposed to. The staff didn't do anything to rectify it. The staff was very friendly and we had a good time, but overall, the venue is super small, and there isn't much to do once you're done playing golf. The young people they have working there are awesome though, I was really impressed! We had a couple of wrinkles when our team came there and the staff got us taken care of no problem.
