While driving at night I came over a hill and there were large chunks of metal scattered around the highway, I was unable to swerve and miss the metal. Completely destroyed my front bumper and caused various damage throughout my vehicle. My insurance had me bring it to caliber and they were AMAZING, the front desk staff was very kind and talked me through the steps, and the mechanic (Juan) kept me updated throughout the entire process of my car being fixed! Caliber ruined the paint on a part of my car that was not even damaged in the accident. They left moldings off of the car and over sprayed white paint on my black upholstery. The car is making a noise when I go over bumps that it did not before the accident. I specifically asked them to check this out and they did not. Nor did they explain the work that was done. They were extremely helpful. The staff were surprisingly pleasant, and it was pleasure to take my car there. Having insurance adjusters in house made things smooth. They also have an enterprise office on the premises, so getting transportation arranged is relatively easy. The waiting area is well kept, and stocked with magazines, candy, coffee and popcorn. The Caliber Collision Centers kept me updated on how things were going with my car by email, and it looks great, drives well. They also gave me a little bottle of touch up paint for the dings and spots already on the car unrelated to the accident damage. read more

I have never been as disappointed and frustrated with a company as I am with the work done by Caliber Collision. My vehicle went back to the shop twice and I am still having issues. On the first visit, not only was it returned with sensor issues but the body was damaged and had I not noticed it, they would have said nothing. The vehicle went back a second time and it must have sat in the shop as decoration because it is still having issues. We started out a little rocky trying to get someone to answer the phone and get my car towed to the location, but once Juan Rodriguez took over as service advisor everything just fell into place. He would communicate with us on the progress at least every other day, sometimes daily. He assured us that the car would not leave the shop till it was absolutely right...and we trusted him. When we picked up our Acadia, it looked brand new. He even had his people repair a few dings that were not part of the accident. I couldn't be happier with the results. WORST EXPERIENCE of my life!! I took my car in to Caliber the first week of December, after I was rear ended sitting still at a stop light. Everything started off fine. My rep, Oscar, was very nice and gave me a completion day one month away. Four weeks sounded like a lot for what seemed like minor damage. Oscar followed up with me twice a week and kept me updated. I received a call a few days prior to the completion date and we were right on schedule. Then the day rolls around and I heard nothing. I called Oscar and he said they had found more damage (really late in the game right?) and it would be another week. Fast forward one month later (a total of 2 months in the shop), my car is still not fixed. I was sent SEVEN different completion dates over 4 weeks. There were different excuses ranging from finding more and more damage to "everyone is out sick" so there was no one available to work on my car. Around week 7 I was told that the car was not finished because the workers broke something unrelated to the rear end that was being fixed, and they were going to have to order the part from Dallas. After constantly calling I finally hear today, on day 65, that I can come pick up my car that night. I arrive and the car will not start because it has sat too long without being touched. I wait while they replaced the battery. Thinking finally I can get out of here and never go back, I drive away and hear a clicking sound under the hood of my car, and all of the sudden an unknown object falls out from under me onto the street. I headed back to Caliber, they inspected it and said nothing was missing. I am hoping that is true. Not to mention I had to head straight away to a tire shop because all four of my tires are completely flat. I strongly urge everyone looking for a good body shop to stay far, far away from Caliber Collision on IH-10. This has been the most frustrating customer service experience I have ever had. Don't take a car in if you do not have the time to fix it, period! read more

This is going to be long but it is 100% true. Truth as many of you know can be variable with certain minimal conscienced folks. Bear with me. You'll want to know these facts. A few years back my awesome M35S was struck on the front passenger side by a young lady who was in a hurry to pick up her child at daycare, and was in very bad shape. It was at a four light intersection near this collision center when the signals went out during the afternoon rush hour. She failed to properly stop and was speeding to boot. I had my vehicle towed to Gunn Collision where they evaluated it as totaled (60% which is not really high enough to be considered totaled). The guy Guy there was just not good at what he does. Gunn refused to fix it even out of pocket. Knowing they just wanted my damaged vehicle for cheap I had it towed to Caliber and was told by the manager at Caliber that they would evaluate it for payment out of pocket. They assigned a rep, Chris to take care of it. He SEEMED cool. This was in June. I waited a few months and it just sat outside in the heat of summer, with no one ever contacting me about what they could or would do. In September I left the country and while abroad reached out to ask them what they were going to do. The rep told me that the center could not do anything for me and it would be best to sell it to them for a measly amount. They insisted that the rail was damaged, and that car was irreparable. My ride NEVER sits outside and is in the garage the majority of the time, so their neglect was actually putting months of weathering on my car because they could not or would not do what was correct, and make some sort of move. I returned from my trip and immediately called a flatbed to retrieve my M from Caliber. I took it down the road to Service King and they said they would evaluate it. Two days later I received a call from the rep and he said that their company policy would not allow them to repair it since the insurance company had deemed it totaled, BUT there was a great center, Crossroads Collision Center that would do it, since they weren't on my insurance's preferred list. I had the flatbed take it there. They fixed it like brand new. They told me that the rail was just bent, and that the engine and everything else was intact sans body damage. I got it back in a few weeks and VOILA! I've been driving it since and it still runs like new, still looks brand new and the money I received from insurance that I didn't spend due to the affordability of the repairs, was money in the bank! I spent less than half of the amount insurance gave me. I do understand that if a collision center is a preferred provider that it may not be able to fix a car deemed totaled by the insurance company-- an asinine rule by the way but we are in Texas. That said to sit on something for months on end, warehousing it whether for a fee or for free is just bad form and very unprofessional. Frankly it's inconsiderate and lazy. If they cannot or will not fix a vehicle it behooves them to put themselves in the place of the customer and either have the customer retrieve the vehicle or fix it! I waited this long to leave a comment about Caliber because the true test of a person's or company's mettle and wherewithal, its true value, is whether or not they are there for those who give them their livelihood or for their own self interests and languidness. I am under no obligation to give them timely feedback if they were dishonest and lax with me. You make me wait, trying to play me and I'll make you think you got away with something then BAM! Solutions and proper outcomes are all that matter in business and life (remember this when you go to a surgeon or other physician too). Sadly caveat emptor and the customer as a mark seems to be the order of the day for the many irresponsible capitalists out there. I will not tolerate this. You are not better, smarter or stronger than me. Respect is a two way street and the way I was brought up is UNEARNED. You diss me and I'll diss you back. Come correct! Realize that if I was not resourceful, patient and a problem solver; if I was weak willed I would have given in and this beautiful ride, which is totally paid off and which I actually made money off and still get to ride around to this day would have been scrapped for parts so multiple companies with suspect motives and half-stepping attitudes could make some chump change. Think twice before choosing a collision center. We have to stop rewarding those who do not deserve our hard earned money and time! I hope that things have changed at Caliber since then. I would suspect not though. Go where those with accountability and true ability thrive-- like Service King or Crossroads Collision Center! Truth be told. Peace. read more

I had my car only 4 months when someone pulled out in front of me and instantly turned it from beautiful to ugly. I really appreciated the service here. The agent stayed after closing so I could pick up my car since I couldn't make it before then. I was so happy to see that it looked like there was never any damage to begin with. My car had a big smile on it. Hopefully I won't have to come back but if I need repairs like this again then Caliber it is. read more

The previous review is correct. The staff is super nice, as if to make up for the hit or miss repair work. My door was replaced but, they never tested the power locks or any of the functions before returning the car to me two plus weeks later. UPDATE - I just discovered this evening that my front windshield wiper fluid pump isn't working. There was a lot of communication throughout the process, a nice change from my experience with body shops in the past. The communication was in the form of text messages, but if I needed additional information, I could call and speak with my service representative. They accepted our insurance estimate, and worked with my insurance company to cover additional items that weren't on the original estimate. read more

Caliber Collision is a name my family and I have always trusted to get the job done right for at least the past 10 years but this was my first experience at their beautiful IH-10 location. Shortly after arriving to my estimate appt with a big ugly trash bag covering my passenger window that had been smashed to pieces and some body damage on my front bumper/fender, I talked with the staff at the front desk and was promptly greeted by Jamal Abed. From the start he was incredibly friendly and easy going yet extremely professional and he quickly made my worries of trusting my vehicle to a location I hadn't visited before disappear. Now I have a great car insurance plan from a great company, but even after making the claim days in advance and informing them of my appointment at Caliber, they still hadn't sent over any claim documents or details to them. Jamal quickly got in touch with my claims adjuster and had all of the documents in minutes and even had me speak with her to give her additional details she needed. I had a few issues with the way my insurance wanted to handle everything but after Jamal took the lead he made sure that I received a rental right away.. saving me from having to drive around for a week with no passenger window on my car when it had been pouring rain and would have also rendered my car alarm useless, which the insurance company had initially expected me to do unless I wanted to pay out of pocket for every day I had the rental car. I can't thank him enough for that. After my insurance claims adjuster contacted me a week later informing me that the work on their end was finished and that they had finally given Caliber the go-ahead to start the repair process I expected that I wouldn't get my car back for at least another week. Jamal contacted me right away to let me know that the repairs we being conducted that same day and he had already ordered the parts needed, and he stayed in close contact with me for the next 3 days. By Friday he contacted me to let me know that all the repairs had been completed and and my car was ready to be picked up that afternoon, 2-3 days before the work was initially scheduled to be ready. When I picked up my car I was almost shocked by how amazing the body work was and was delighted to see my car looking like it did when I first bought it and drove it off the lot. He and the cashier assisted me through the payment process and before I knew it I was driving away with my car looking beautiful again like it once did. I couldn't be happier about my experience at Caliber Collision IH-10 and I'm glad they have friendly laid-back dudes like Jamal Abed who made the whole process so pain free and couldn't have been any more helpful during the time my vehicle and I spent with him looking out for us. In the future I know exactly where and who I'm recommending to my friends and family when they need a smooth and trustworthy body shop experience. The person who did estimate on My company vehicle was Daniel. I was so disappointed in his service. He stated he would call with details same day and send estimate to company. I received no phone call and estimate was not received. I called six days later to speak with him and asked since he didn't call was email sent his reply was " I sent it and it was kicked back." So I asked him So you don't call to clarify email addresses since you wrote it in correct and his response was" I guess not" I would not recommend this location to anyone I know. My experience here was flawless, beginning to end. I was hit by a hit and run and had to deal with someone else's insurance. The staff here was great to handle all correspondence and paperwork for the wreck and costs to repair. The front office staff was friendly and helpful every time I came in or called. Juan Rodriguez, my service advisor, was quick to meet with me, hear my concerns, and did a thorough review of the damage on my car. The initial estimate from the insurance company was not reflective of the damage I had, and he was able to address all of those issues with the insurance company without having me involved at all. They were quick to repair my vehicle, and even cleaned it up to look even on both sides. I am so grateful to this team for putting my family in a safe vehicle again. When I first got my estimate back in December 2020 I was told by caliber collision and Damien Delgado that it would be no more than 2 to 3 weeks it is March 18, 2021 3 1/2 months later and I'm being told the parts are still not in caliber collision and Damien Delgado are the most unprofessional and courteous company I have ever seen they lied to me they would never respond to my emails voicemails Or phone calls I kept a track record of every time I attempted contact which was over 20 times and I got a response twice. I will be filing a Better Business Bureau complaint as well as A complaint with the Texas department of insurance seeing as how caliber collision is a preferred shop. This place is absolute trash in for 3 1/2 months they wasted my time and lied to me and lied to me and then on top of that they were trying to order used parts not brand new. The shop that I took it to to get the parts that will be here next week all brand new parts didn't take more than two weeks for the parts to come in so obviously caliber collision and Damien Delgado were completely lying to me. read more

My car engine actually stopped running at a lace that allowed me to drift into their parking lot. Before arranging for a tow to a repair shop, I stopped by the office to inform them of the situation and to see about getting a quote for body-repair work while it was in their lot. The clerk didn't know what to do so she dipped her head into manager's adjacent office. His response to her was that it was his lunch hour and that we would have to wait 30 minutes. Unbelievable. I called the tow truck and 20 minutes later I was out of Caliber's parking lot, never to return. Dear Caliber, Please look up "customer service" and "common courtesy." You just lost a $3,000 job and got called out on Yelp. read more
