This is such a depressing review to have to write, but I must warn others. The food, flexibility, and planning process were all great. However, the event manager assigned to my wedding, Penelope, absolutely ruined my wedding. My wedding was an afternoon tea party with no dancing. We wanted people to mingle and be able to graze for the 3 hour reception. Penelope, against our explicit instructions and many conversations prior, had her staff start packing up the food and removing the tableware 2 hours before the end of the reception. Obviously, this made people think the reception was wrapping up, so our guests started to leave. So many left that we had to make the decision to end early so we could at least have some people around for the exiting photos. I did not get to do my bouquet toss, and we lost an hour and a half of photographer time that we had already paid for. In addition, they did MANY other things that were absurdly unprofessional: opened excessive wine bottles in advance and then tried to take the completely full but opened bottles with them, did not think to bring an iron or steamer so when the cloth napkins (which were more expensive) arrived wrinkled we had to change last minute to the uglier polyester ones, and the catering staff dissembled several of my paid floral arrangements to decorate the tables, and asking my GUESTS to tell my family members to pay the catering bill, when payment at the end was already agreed upon. Also, we graciously offered that Penelope could take one of the tea cup wedding favors. Instead of taking one of the extras, she started picking the highest value ones that she wanted off the already set tables and replacing then with extras. To top it all off, the company had the audacity to post a picture of our wedding on instagram, taking credit for the beautiful tea tower arrangements that they had no hand in creating and trying to use it to advertise themselves. All the tea towers and tea tower foods were provided by my family. The company tried to rectify the situation by repaying us about 50% of our catering costs, but they did not compensate us for the money lost for the photographers and wine, and more importantly, I can never get back that day with my family and friends. They truly ruined my wedding reception, and I desperately hope that Penelope was either fired or will be kept far away from any event so she can't ruin another special day again. read more
