Pretty much everything they sell is aimed at quieting a rumbling tummy; groceries, hot food such as pies and chips, cakes, drinks including milkshakes and sweets. These places are never exactly high class establishments; I get the feeling the majority of their business comes from serving an after school rush of annoying teenagers. But it's a friendly, neighbourly place, and if you need a basic item without the fuss of negotiating a shopping centre it's perfect. The store opens at 5.30am every day.

There's always people around, but not like going into a supermarket at 5pm when everyone is at the checkouts. The selling point of this Woolworth's is as Tenniele said in her review, is the trading hours. My only problem is actually remembering they're open. I mean, how often have I decided after 6 that I want something from Woolies on the weekend? Often (on account of my love for snacks). And you know what? They're open until 7pm. But that's just weekends. Weekdays they're until 10pm. TEN PEE EM! That's fantastic. Also the staff aren't intrusive, and it's a good sized Woolies so it has everything you need. Parking isn't difficult and it's not overcrowded. All in all a good woolies. I suppose the only thing that has stopped me from making it a 5 start shop is the fact that the staff aren't fantastic. They're not bad either though. So you know, if you're around near the airport I'd definitely make it your grocery store!

Toombul Coles closes 9pm weekdays, 5pm Saturday and 4pm Sunday. A mighty bummer when you need something and didn't get to the shop earlier! No worries! Zoom out to 'Skygate', 'DFO', whatever you wanna call it, and Woolies is there for you. 24 hours! I'll admit, it's a bit out of the way, but it's not really that far. Watch the signs though, it's easy to end up in the wrong lane and on your way out to the airport, the Sunshine Coast or the Gold Coast.

The produce looks so colourful and fresh, in authentic looking wooden crates and really well lit so you can see the condition of the food you are getting. They have your typical range with a good selection of summer fruits plus a really decent range of vegetables. To fill up my SUV at presents costs over $100, at around $2.17 per litre for Premium Unleaded, so every chance to save is welcomed. They also have nice and friendly staff, an independent mechanic on the premises which is always busy, gas bottle refills or "swap 'n go," and refrigerated cabinets filled with drinks and snacks. What I like most about this place is the ease of pulling in off Waterworks Road and the expediency of the cashier to get you in and out. It's my favourite petrol station and being an RACQ member is simply a bonus!

It really acts more like a local convenience store than anything else. It is the kind of place that if you live nearby you happily walk to in order to pick up the bread and milk but I would not suggest going there for a grocery shop. The store itself is on Enoggera Rd near Pepe's Mexican, the Laundromat and TAB. It is a tiny little shop with only a few aisles full of the essentials. I was quite impressed by their American Candy stall and feel like I will be back for my Hershey's fix. The lady on the counter was lovely and very cheerful. While not the best selection, this Foodworks does feel like more of a small community store.
