I attended CCBC Murrieta from 2003-2005 and it was a wonderful experience for me to attend a school focused on teaching in-depth biblical classes. I did meet my husband on campus which means that yes, I did get me "ring by spring" but that is just a perk of CCBC... since you are surrounded with so many like-minded God fearing people, it is a wonderful way to find someone you want to share your life with. However, a ring is not a reason to go to CCBC, but rather the desire to be equipped for whatever calling the Lord has for you; be it ministry, an office job, serving coffee, or parenthood. As others have mentioned, the school moved back to Twin Peaks, CA in 2022. Twin Peaks was it's original location and while different than the Murrieta campus, it has it's own unique beauty. I actually went back to CCBC (online as I'm now a SAHM to 5 kiddos) for my Bachelors from 2023-2024. The classes were all great and the faculty was been amazing at helping me navigate online classes. I also have sent two of my kids to CCBC (so far... the rest would like to eventually attend as well). They both attend the Twin Peaks campus and it has been life changing for them. To see them grow because of the wonderful community of students and the well-rounded and excellent classes offered (there are still tons of Bible classes like Genesis, Romans, Isaiah, etc. but there are also General Ed classes like English Lit, Critical Thinking, Anatomy, etc.) read more

I am incredibly disappointed in this institution. I sent two children to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College and they both now do not walk with Christ. The saying on campus is the real name should be Calvary Chapel Bridal College, "A ring by spring or your money back". This is because they teach it is sinful to have premarital sex, and rather than burn with lust, the encourage ill suited mates to marry. Both of my kids got quick divorces as the people they married were very fractured people who also have chosen. It is amazing that this school does not train people to do anything. Women are forbidden from serving in the ministry as they are not men. The degrees earned at this campus are not able to be used at any accredited university. The training does not lead to a degree or certification that qualifies you for a career or even a job. The tuition is low but that is because on campus students are expected to provide labor for the very profitable retreat industry that Calvary Chapel profits from. They call this ministry but I believe that it provides a free labor source for the Church. Matthew says you shall know them by their fruits. I just don't see any fruit from this ministry. I don't see lives changed in a positive way. I would like to clarify that I am not sitting in Judgment of this program. I am only sharing my observations from someone who was an avid Calvary Chapel member and sent two kids to the program. I head the warning in Matthew 7: Matthew 7 "Judge[a] not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. 3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. 6 "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces. When I went to this College, I already walked with the Lord before this School even accepted me well I was definitely excited because of the Archeology and nothing else, but when I had real friends over there it was wonderful, but one dumb day one kid told me that "I got a demon tied to me" and that's not even a Christian way, ahh and my life is even worse because of that but I'm trying to get rid of the bad things like what he said or anything that is non Christian like over there. read more

If I can give this place a 0 I would. I attended this Bible College back in 2014 and I was not impressed. When I attended here, I got accused for something I didn't do. I asked a security there, if there's any cameras or if you know anything about the accusations, and his response was, 'I don't know anything, go talk to the dean.' The next day I went there, no one knew what the heck was going on. Anyways, the director of the college, Andy Dean, and the dean of men, Mark Nigro didn't do crap to help me, instead they took actions immediately when they heard from someone else for mistakenly accused me, so I got kicked out for that manner. This school is not about just academic education, is also moral support and guidance and not to mention spiritual guidance and help in need of other students. If the dean told me, 'I don't buy your story.' The day he removed me from this campus. Then why should I take the schools word for being the best Bible college in California. Pff. I don't know what to say here, but all I know is that this school should not be a placed for comfort. Last time I heard, this place got sold. Still not going to stop me for writing this review. The dining hall staff are wonderfully energetic, kind, friendly & attentive. I came with my mom (her first visit) to our church women's retreat Feb. 19-21 2016. The food was delicious as always! I found out that they provide transportation for elderly & disabled around the campus. My mom had a hard time with some of the hills & curbs & at night. I think it made her feel like a VIP. We never waited long & were always available on the campus. The drivers were so considerate. Thanks Matthew, Steve & 2 other drivers; I didn't catch their names :( We had a wonderful visit here. Campus is a little outdates but the service was wonderful. We went for a nativity scene event and it was wonderful. The security was very clear on where to park and where to go. The church that out on the nativity was good and they served free cocoa and snacks. I loved it!! read more

This is a very long review but I think you should take the time to read it. I attended CCBC Murrieta for 2 semesters 2014-2015. I want to start out by naming all the good things about this school before I get into the not so great things. I did a fast back in 2013 to ask God where he wanted me to go and what he wanted me to do. I was still pretty young in my walk, ad had a hard time understanding scripture as I didn't have any true Christians in my life. God showed me to attended CCBC. I was shocked I had drove by this bible college my whole life and never knew what it was! I was excited for bible college and excited for what God was gonna do in my life. The campus is beautiful with a lot of places to have quiet time with the Lord whether you want to do that outside in nature or inside. Some of the teachers, staff, and students are wonderful, supportive, and kind...The classes were great and helpful. Now to the reasons why I'm only giving it 2 out of 5 stars. THE FIRST SEMESTER I ATTENDED I WAS AN OFF CAMPUS STUDENT. It was obvious to me that off campus students are treated different from on campus students. I'm not saying everyone treated you that way but A LOT of people did. Like you werent as serious or as important. I've been kind of used to this treatment throughout my life for different reasons but it was still annoying. Other off campus students i got to know actually brought this up without me saying anything about it first so it wasn't just me! Now for the second semester I felt called to attend full time as an on campus student so I did! The full time schedule is so demanding and makes it impossible for someone who actually has a job to work, go to school full time, and complete the loads of homework that they give us. You also have an on campus job that you dont get paid for, which I ended up liking as they gave me the coffee shop. But let me tell you. Most of The staff that I worked with in the coffee shop were not Godly. It seems like people were just taking the job so they had a free place to live, and free 3 meals a day. I don't think some of the staff were there for the right reasons and they were straight up rude. Don't be in ministry if you don't like people. Seriously. Now i had great brothers and sisters in Christ during this semester and I had a wonderful leader named Heather who was supportive to me and God had called her to talk with me and pray for me she was wonderful and God was doing a work in me. I remember watching the water baptisms which happen every semester and even though I still hadnt been baptized I didnt do it this semester but man I wish I did. There were a few times in my walk where I couldve been baptized but I didnt. When people would find out I wasn't baptized there was always some weird awkward silence and people would ask if I understood baptism and I would say not really. So I had a few people explain it to me and its importance and someone even told me the holy spirit comes over you through baptism and I still just wasnt interested in it. In fact I was confused because I thought accepting Jesus Christ as my savior meant I already had the Holy Spirit. I remember watching the baptisms and listening to everyone cheer and look happy and I just felt sad like I was missing out on something. I even walked out during baptism and wondered if I was under attack....But this semester I was very under attack. Had trouble sleeping sometimes, and even when I did sleep I was woken up in the middle of the night by Satan attacking my mind and using the pain of my past to slow me down. I remember praying and reading my bible and crying my eyes out for hours around 2-4 in the morning. My roommate woke up and asked me why i was crying and I told her I didnt know I thought I was under attack so she prayed for me and it finally went away. I was so exhausted I didnt go to class the next morning. Everyone I talked to about the attacks said everyone goes through warfare and they always attack more when you're on the verge of a break through. I really was trying to go full force with God and I could tell the enemy was starting to feel really threatened. I remember this day well. Well these next 3 days I'm going to tell you about. I was sitting in my bed, praying, trying to read scripture. And Satan was going full force on my mind because I would read scripture and have no idea what I was reading. I couldn't comprehend it. So I would stop and pray and then try to read again. I was trying so hard. Kept praying and trying to read, but still nothing I couldnt understand it. And I got really frustrated that God was still allowing the enemy to attack my mind so I said forget it. And the attacks went away. I then grabbed my phone and started texting anyone I knew that I could buy weed from. Weed was my biggest struggle and something I turned to a lot when I was deceived as a way to cope and escape. Calvary Chapel Bible College has been the second best decision I have made. (Following Christ was the best decision). I have a tendency to find something wrong with every church, every worship leader, every teacher..... but ultimately when I look at CCBC and what the mission statement of the school is and how they effectively carry it out, i have nothing but respect for the conference center and bible college staff who have worked together to share the Gospel as often as possible and build up and refresh the saints in every way possible. This school is not for everyone. There are rules and frankly some of them are inconvenient, but to give up staying out late and other freedoms for three months (I mean come on 3 months is not very long!) so that you can spend that time growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, is certainly a reasonable trade. The stigmatic issues of "bridal college" and not training women for ministry have been addressed, and in my opinion, this is the only College I've ever been to in which I actually developed valuable vocational skills (I have served as a kitchen hand, a server and a guardsmen on the campus support team). The service component has been effective at giving me actual vocational training so that when I graduate I can "work with [my] hands" 1 Thes. 4:11. The conversations I have been able to have with teachers, students, and staff have consistently pointed me to the cross and what a great restful two semesters these have been. I'm on my 3rd semester here and stoked. The staff really seem to care about the students. The campus is really gorgeous, there's spots to read and spend time in prayer, its a good environment. Yes the school is unaccredited, but I am coming for the knowledge and wisdom and experience, and there are still options to transfer credits to accredited schools later on if I want to. I am glad that they did it this way, it keeps the tuition costs low. I am looking forward to what the future holds and I don't have all the answers right now, but my time here at CCBC has been a blessing and has only helped to equip me for whatever is ahead. read more

It's just an expensive Bible camp. Although this institution does provide a good environment to study the Bible, it is still not accredited so none of your units are transferable, except to their sister institution, another unaccredited school. You can obtain a great amount of travel experience through their abroad programs, but don't count on getting any vocational or professional training here, especially if you are female, since this denomination does not allow female leadership. If you are really looking for a true educational investment, you will go to an accredited school. If you really feel God is calling you into missions or to be a stay-at-home mom, that is great, but you don't have to go to school to do either of those. 2/3 of the people I know who graduated are unemployed with no marketable job skills. Calvary Chapel claims to be nondenominational or a kind of "postdenominational" church but they are anti-Calvinism and almost anti-intellectual. read more
