I've seen this Church from afar for over a decade and never made a point to visit because before I…read morenever had a car. So drove in, its a big parking lot, next to the Art Gallery. When you enter, the place may not have air conditioning, but wow, its really cool. The concrete interior keeps the place interior cool. The stain glass is so beautiful and you can see some of them open to allow cross draft. The confession room has a light above so you know when it is in use and when it isn't. Absolutely beautiful place. Worth visiting.

The congregation has grown since my last review, and to accommodate a growing congregation, The City Church now has two (2) services on Sunday mornings - one at 9:00 AM, and another at 11:00 AM. The facility continues to be clean and well-maintained. There are wonderful programs for kids and youth. There are also City Groups for adults of all ages, catering to various interests and stages of life, so you definitely have a chance to build relationships and make friends in your church community. Dress code is casual to business casual. The sermons continue to be engaging and applicable to daily living. This is a wonderful community church in the GTA, and caters to all ages and backgrounds.

Went to check out this congregation, and it was a lot more laid back than what I was used to. I…read morethought it was strange that there was no bible verse, no communion, and all they talked about was some missionary's trip where they got banned. The greeters were very nice and all, but very different from a traditional sermon. The whole service was about 1.25 hours. On the plus side, they were very tech savvy in terms of using powerpoint presentations to showcase the hymns, and a laser pointer to document the missionary's excursion. I would say that this service was more academic. There was a LOT of singing which I wasn't really used to. Oh, to note, I was one of maybe 2 visible minorities there. Also, they didn't have a lot of young families as part of their demographic. I would say the majority (about 75%) of their parishioners were seniors or at least 50+.
