I attend a different church in the Peninsula but visited with a friend who is a member as I was in the area over the weekend. Worship service is held on the second floor of Mill Valley Community Center (and not the one below, which I hear is an equally awesome but different church and service). There is ample parking. Once you enter the building, turn right to find stairs leading up to the second floor. A small but tight group of members, this seems to be a good option for those seeking the word in a more intimate, personal setting than some of the larger churches throughout the Bay area. Communion and potluck is provided on the first Sunday of each month, but there is no burden or expectation to stay once the service is over. Some come early and help set up while others join half-way through the sermon, giving the impression that you are literally welcome any time. Most attractive is that the group consists of singles, couples and married people of all ages and different backgrounds. Pastor Seth is a local, born and raised who ventured to other areas of the US for college and seems to be well-connected with the community. He is a young, married couple who will be expanding their family this October. This may be an ideal environment for others who are newly married and growing their families... as well as those seeking suggestions for local eats that are family friendly or just good all around, which he seems to be quite knowledgeable about. read more
