Calvin Community has the best staff ever. My mom lived in the assisted living area for two and half years and had great care. Many times above and beyond what she was entitled to receive. Many staff became her good friends and would stop in to her room just to visit which was awesome. After returning from the hospital she stayed in the health center. Again the best staff ever. They were so good to her. On days she felt good, they would make sure she got to activities and was able to see her friends. Then it came time for Hospice to help with her. They suggested Sunset Hospice. Again couldn't have asked for better people. They cared so much for her and her family. Calvin Community is a wonderful place. read more

When we moved our mom to Calvin, I wasn't sure it would be the best place for her because it wasn't as fancy as some of the newer, more expensive facilities in the suburbs. But a short time later, a friend who has served as the court-appointed conservator for more than 200 elderly persons said it would have been his first choice because the staff at Calvin cares more than at any other place. Our mom stayed at Calvin 5 years until she passed a few weeks ago. She was happy at Calvin. She loved the staff and they loved her. Calvin was the best possible place for her. My brother and I are very pleased with our choice of Calvin Community for our mother. She been at Calvin for over 10 months and it has been good for her. They have accommidated her to fit her needs. They are proactive in providing care for her. She has a very nice room. She is over 100 and still takes care of herself, pretty well. But, it is very comforting to know we have people checking on her regularly to make sure she is fine. Where problems have occurred with the facilities, the Calvin staff has been quick to rectify the situatiions and make things right. Calving Community is a very caring place. read more
