Quite large, as you would expect, so plenty of tables and chairs upstairs near the bar or downstairs at street level. It's spaciously laid out so avoids the cramped atmosphere of so many places these days, and the lighting is soft and pleasant. The menu is extensive with plenty of choices for everyone, including vegetarians, and very good value. There are many 'special offers' to look out for too (burger with free beer every day, or excellent curries with free drinks on Thursdays, for example). I was there today and enjoyed my lunch enormously; the house wine was been a delicious Merlot and my husband was perfectly happy with the draught Guinness. It's close to the downtown area so it's a central location. The first time I came for lunch. I had a shandy and a BBQ chicken melt sandwich. Both were quite satisfactory. Christine, the manager, served us and she was quite friendly. Next time, we came for dinner with the whole family. Great service. I ordered the Chicken Tikka masala, which was quite good for pub fare. Everyone was pretty satisfied with their meals. I think Thomas Arms was great. Their patio had a nice atmosphere as well.
