From the get go she was scattered in her thinking and sent random emails asking for info and paperwork I had previously provided her with. The dress rehearsal was a mess. This wedding coordinator made us start in the middle of the ceremony, then proceed to the end. THEN we got to practice the beginning. What is with that??? The day of the wedding was a disaster to put it lightly. Im walking down the isle and this "wedding coordinator" never remembered to bring the GROOM, Best man, and Reverend out from the back waiting room. Clearly this was part of the rehearsal the night before. He missed me walking down the isle as well as his mother and granmother. Needless to say, I spent the whole night listening to people tell me that they thought I was being left at the altar. Thank you wedding coordinator, thank you! I did contact this woman after the fact to tell her I was unhappy with her services. She said, "had she known that it was a priority that my husband be there when I walk down the isle she would had made it happen". WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!? I give 2 star because this Church is absolutely beautiful , and the church secretary was super sweet and accommodating. Also, they have a nice "library" with fireplace if you want to book that too in case of rain for your photos etc. Lastly, one side of the church has all original Tiffany windows that let the natural light in! Bonus- They are excepting of all folks not matter their background, race, religions, gender, orientation etc...

I was saved in 2023 after years of believing in other false ideologies. Since 2024, and currently, I've been letting the Holy Spirit lead me to a solid church for baptism. Not something to rush into, I sought out Grace Road initially for baptism, but missed their last baptism Sunday. Pastor Dan W connected with me after emailing them and helped approve me for a financial need through their care ministry. He and the church staff also prayed for me last Wednesday (12/17/25) after submitting a prayer request for things God has me in right now. Without even having attended in person, and without even meeting me personally, Grace Road has welcomed me with open arms and prayer. I intend to keep tuning in online and hope to be able to tithe to their church. I trust the Lord will move in me when it comes a day for my children and I to visit the church first hand. It just is difficult with little familial support and being a single mom with small children/also trusting strangers to care for them.

Sacred Heart Cathedral is the only designated site for Jubilee Year 2025 declared by Pope Francis in the Diocese of Rochester, New York. The Cathedral's ceiling depicts the night sky on the day of the Diocese founding on March 3, 1868, which adds a unique piece of history when the Cathedral was renovated in 2005. The 16 angels atop the trusses and beautifully painted adds to the interior of the Gothic Revival architecture structure. The prominent Opus 26 pipe organ in the aspe behind the sanctuary is encompassed by ornate carved wood. I remained for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at the Saturday Vigil after confession. However the modern individual seating in place of traditional pews seems out of place for the 1927 church and the distribution of communion using 2 individual kneelers seemed odd in place of a traditional communion rail. All in all, my experience attending Sacred Heart Cathedral was positive. The priest's message was enlightening and left absolved and a better follower of the faith. I look forward to a return visit when in Rochester, New York.

This Christian Orthodox church belongs to the OCA archdiocese and the entire service is in English. The space feels absolutely sacred and safe and the people are very friendly. It was my first time going to a service where the younger children are involved as well. They grab their favorite icon and happily follow the priest during procession. It's absolutely heartwarming Join this congregation for coffee hour downstairs and they will make an effort to get to know you no doubt. I've only been twice so far but I feel at peace there and can sense that this group values community!

Today, I was in the area and saw the Wedding Party. Well, I crashed in! It was beautiful. I don't know anybody, but when I saw the bride, she looked sooooooo beautiful, like a Princess. Radiant, nervous. I couldn't help but, to be overcome with emotions. I confess, I shed a few tears of joy. May God bless her with happiness. The Priest speaks good Spanish. They did a traditional Spanish Wedding. All in all a nice experience.

I have attended Third for over 30 years. Since churches are made up of people, there are no perfect…read morechurches, including Third. I have seen a lot in my decades there, some bad, most good, and some amazing. This is a church which actively supports the community that surrounds it, offering groceries and meals, at no cost, to those who need them. Third is also a founding member of Family Promise of Greater Rochester - formerly RAIHN - which seeks to make a dent in homelessness by offering emergency housing, housing assistance, job assistance and more. In the beginning, the emergency housing rotated between several faith communities, with Third providing overnight accommodations for a week at a time in our Education Wing, staffed by volunteers. The East Avenue Grocery Run has raised over $450,000 dollars that go straight to local food pantries and hunger support programs (https://www.groceryrun.org/) All these outreach programs are either partially or fully funded by Third members through their financial contributions. I have participated in these programs and seen, up close and personal, how they touch people's lives in many different ways. I cannot possibly put into this review all that this church has meant to me, but I will say that spiritual growth is always a goal, as are congregational care, children's ministry, music ministry, and of course, outreach. My three boys, who were raised in this church, gained so much from it, and make me proud as adults who care about others and are community-minded. And lest you think otherwise, I am simply a member of the congregation and nobody important, with neither power nor position in the church. There are many like me, and you are welcome to come visit and learn about Third for yourself.

One year while fighting in the streets, so to speak, for higher minimum wages positions at the church were placed on the chopping block from FT to PT while a shaking the congregation's pockets to avert this was the annual meeting tone. Not our fault the endowment was being gauged for many years...end of the day someone ponied up a large gift designated to personnel. Not open yet when most churches are being a "all or no one" statement however, there have been exceptions to this in my time--enabling one individual monetarily, and in various other ways in an unhealthy and unfair to the other's who walk through the door for assistance manner. So, the all or no one theory is not quite on point. Not being open also says when people need the church they are not there for you. Sacrifice losing members now so that the endowment is secure for future generations is how I see it, just my humble opinion! Priorities are more political, and what's trending vs. really caring for the flock. Especially when it comes to metal illness. I was at Third 7 plus years and the final straw (and there were many) was when the interim pastor said mental health isn't a priority right now... In addition, unless you are strict democrat you will struggle as all are welcome, but inclusion is much to be desired! Since leaving this church my anxiety level is minimal, my spirit feels light and I again have a lust for the Word! This church sucked the life and light out of me, and everyone who knows me knows that's not an exaggerated statement! And those who know also can attest to the catalyst at Third which created an increase in my symptoms...so there's that. If you give it a try, but don't go in with your eyes closed! And don't be distracted by the shiny beauty within!
