They said, "Well, Jeffrey, that's because it was a pasture before they installed tee boxes and greens." That is incredibly accurate. A ton of blind shots, lots of going straight uphill to a green that couldn't be seen from the teebox, even though the hole is barely 300yds or maybe less. The course is laid out so poorly that you can't even tell which way the "fairway" goes without the "course book" which is, I kid you not, just a black and white print out on 8x11 paper. I didn't see any greenskeepers so I can't confirm or deny the other person's report of their attitude. I can say that the workers inside were pleasant enough and I didn't feel overcharged for anything except the "golf". I can't see any reason to play this course, unless you just live right next to it and don't really have any standards for golf courses. The staff inside are the only reason to give this course two stars. Without them, it's a one star all day. Now I really wish I had taken photos so I could show just what this "course" looks like.

The golf course is a near-perfect lunchtime backdrop. The burger was cooked just right; the fries were quite abundant and tasty, although a bit on the greasy side. I'd eat here again, though I doubt that I'd make a special trip only for the takeout. Probably just the ticket when playing golf here, however. So now I'm almost obliged to pop for the $40+ green fee one of these days (higher on weekends). If I do, surely I'll also review that experience.

What a great course, from the first tee, to the last green, we truly enjoyed the round. Throw in some 200+ yard par 3's, a 591 yard par 5, tons of tree lined par fours, several ponds, a stiff wind and my 91 and playing buddies 86, we're in the books. This was our first time playing here, and we'd probably play the shorter tees next time, as we usually play in the 6,400 yard range. If your looking for greens that putt true, and a new challenge...give the windshield some new views and head over to Richmond...you'll be glad you did.

After spending all day outside, one of my coworkers was suffering from heat exhaustion, and an employee working in the dining hall went out of her way to help him.
