I used to like to go here to get their salads but as of lately several months now the salads have not been good at all their watery they don't put much stuff in them like they used to when they first opened up you're basically paying for some chop lettuce and water and their prices are not cheap I find this to be true of their chicken tossed salad and also their shrimp salad just don't go there anymore for salads because they're just not good anymore like they say the spice of life is good they should put more stuff in their salads tomatoes onions lettuce a few carrots what have you but they don't put nothing much in there and it's all watery too many other good Mexican places to choose from like Riviera Maya they are awesome read more

Lo siento my friends but I did not like this place. First the water itself tasted bad. Not sure if the ice machine was dirty or something? Tacos were standard tex med tacos. I liked. I don't know what happened to this restaurant, but in my recent order, nothing was seasoned. Everything was very bland. I felt like I was eating at a bad old folks home cafeteria. Use some salt! It's Mexican! Use a little heat spice! I am paying $50+ for delivery of meals I could make 100 times better! Food is great. The service is hit and miss. Sometimes they are very nice and here lately they are aggressive and act annoyed. This makes me not want to come back. Again food is good. The guy that brings the food out is also very aggressive and unpleasant always. I have order take out around 10 x and it's has always been excellent until tonight. Don't know what happened but was very disappointed.

The food was good. The service was great. The ambience was traditional for a Mexican restaurant.

I've been here a million times now.... how have I not reviewed it yet? ‍ Anyways, I usually have a job right near here about once a week or so and stop by on my lunch break every chance I get. If I'm being quite honest, I haven't tried a lot on the menu. I usually just get the same thing, a big fat modelo especial with a cheese dip or chicken tacos depending on my mood that day. But I have tried a couple of other things on the lunch special part of the menu, and they've all been fire (Not spicy fire...but like "slang" or whatever. As in...awesome, great, recommended, etc ) But aside from the delicious food....they have super friendly service, quick food delivery, good prices, and a nice rewards program. Love this place. I have eaten here at least once a month since they opened. Up until about a year ago this place was great. Great food, awesome FAST service. I would put this place up against any other Mexican joint in town. The past few times I've been here in 2018 it's just gone downhill so much. The service is slow and the past 2 times I've been here they got at least one persons order wrong. Usually go with a party of 4 total. Tonight they brought the complete wrong thing out to me and my wife had to wait 10 mins after everyone else's food arrived for hers and when it arrived (arroz con pollo) it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 20 mins, a muddled mushy mess (see pic). Some of the original wait staff are the nicest people and the owner is a class act. It's just all the new wait staff are not very good. If you want average Mexican food with below par service, this is the place for you. Although it is further from our house and the parking suck and the prices are higher, we will take our business to Luciana's which is downtown Columbus. read more

Watch out vegetarians and vegans!! These people may have pieces of meat/ chicken in your veggie entree. One star for clean ambiance and for the guacamole. Watch out vegetarians. It grosses me out if I find a piece of chicken or meat in my vegetarian dish. I simply cannot eat anymore of that food. The expected reaction from the server, and other restaurant personnel is apology, offer a replacement,( all of the 3 times it happened I was too grossed out to eat anything!) Accidents happen and we are all humans. All other times I did not write negative reviews is because the restaurants were appropriately apologetic. This one was not. The server confirmed that the piece in question was indeed chicken and offered to bring another. Then said he would speak with the manager. All was good till then. The cashier was a very rude lady who first of all went back on her 'we'll not charge you for it' promise. She asked for the full amount. Then when we reminded her about her promise made less than 10 mins ago, she said "ok I will offer you 10% discount OKAY?" We were appalled at her reaction. Further she said , ' well it was just one piece of chicken!' 'I didn't do it so don't tell me! You ate that food - to which we pointed out that the dish was still sitting on the table 3/4 full when I came across that piece. Absolutely unacceptable !! If you have vegetarian item on your menu it should be vegetarian. You cannot judge other persons choices of food. If it is offending their religious or cultural sensitivity then you cannot callously say- 'it was just one piece!' Never going to that restaurant again! read more

Camilas is doing both dine in and take out during Covid. Staff is doing a great job of wearing masks. Can't say the same for all the patrons. There are always daily specials and well priced drinks. My go to is the burrito morales. My husband says they have some amazing steak dishes! The kid menu has lots of options available. We never have had to wait for a table or too long for our food. The menu has all the basic "Mexican" dishes and then some more traditional options as well. It's not my favorite Mexican in town but it's a close second! read more

I have been here multiple times for drinks or social events but, I was just here this past Sunday for the first time having a real meal so I feel that I can accurately review it now. The space is HUGE. I love it, sometimes I feel like I can't enjoy a meal without running my chair into the person behind me or vice versa, that's not an issue here! Plus the decor is very festive! I've spent a lot of time in the party area and, while it's not super private (the bathrooms are literally right there) it's perfectly adequate for its purpose. The margaritas are fabulous as expected, no complaints there. The menu is very diverse as far as offering plenty of options and combinations, if you like Mexican food, you'll find something good to eat. I had the Arroz con Pollo (rice with chicken) which was smothered in white queso--UM DELICIOUS. Which yes it's super simple so you'd think it would be hard to mess up but, you'd be surprised! The portion was plenty and I took half of it home. No complaints. The only two things I'd complain about are: 1) the service we received that day. Our server was super distracted by the TV. We hardly saw him and had to ask multiple other servers for the things we needed (more to drink, missing food items, etc) so that was annoying but what we did see of him was pleasant. 2) the tables looked dirty. I don't think they were entirely dirty but whatever they're covered with is not appealing. There were some clearly missed spots on the edges of the table but it wasn't TRAGIC, just an observation. Maybe recover the tables with something more forgiving? Overall, solid 4-star restaurant. I'll be back! read more

Very explicit on what we ordered. The drinks didn't come until food was brought to counter for us to take out. Meat on one dinner was slipped into a to go container as one unattractive lump. Sides of hot beans slopped in another container beside lettuce, pico, and other cold sides. Making whole box a sweating mess. This is our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in town. It seems every few years, a new one opens up and gives the old businesses a run for their money. Competition is good! The restaurant is decorated in local school colours and Camilas is eager to be a part of the local community - we love it! The staff inside is always very warm and on the rare occasion there is an issue, apologetic and quick to fix it. This place is becoming THE spot for Mexican in Columbus and there is sometimes a wait on peak times - completely worth it! I highly recommend the vegetarian chimichanga. I am no vegetarian but it is just so good - the tortillas used taste homemade and the spices and mushrooms they use in the wrap are delicious. I also get the fish tacos which are quite good and some kind of whitefish. Shrimp tacos are also good. Their carnitas are also a big hit with our family. Chips and salsa are delicious and fresh. The staff has taken the time to learn our names and that is just not something you see anymore. We'll be there again this Friday! read more

I love this place. Columbus has a lot of good Mexican restaurants, but this has probably got to be my favorite. I generally alternate between between the chile relleno and the shrimp chimichanga. My boyfriend always gets the quesadilla with chicken and chorizo in it and that's really good, too. The portions are extremely generous. Two people can easily share a meal, but let's be real. Pretty good food that is more traditional than you typically find in the states. The decor is rather industrial, but comfortable. Booths are small but they do have tables for more than 2 people. I had a shredded beef chimichanga and it was pretty good. My only complaint (and it is kinda petty...) is that my server's cologne was so strong that I couldn't take a bite when he walked by! They've been working on this place for months and I've been really excited to try it out. They have stiff competition because they are in the same shopping center as another Mexican restaurant and across the street from two of the best restaurants in town. The location is great. I was impressed with the atmosphere--very colorful and unique. And the place is enormous. The servers are super friendly and the owner visited our table to be sure we were enjoying ourselves. Prices are very similar to the other restaurants in the area, maybe a little higher. The food was delicious, served on the customary red-hot Fiestaware plates. Portions were on the small side but that's probably a good thing because I shouldn't eat as much as I do. The guacamole is prepared table-side and is delicious. They also have homemade hot sauces that were incredible. There's not a lot that differentiates this place from the other Mexican restaurants across the street but the food was good and the service was good. I think they'll do well. Get you some! read more
