The kids had fun feeding the farm animals. I will have to admit I had fun too. There are all sorts of farm animals, such as chickens, cats, dogs, goats, horses, bunnies, pigs and more. I am a cat person and I enjoy looking for the barn cats. The place is pretty clean for a farm and the kids enjoy the tractor ride. All the employees were nice and friendly. If you're planning a fun kids party, this is a great place for them.

First visit, I got there around 4:40 and they were closing at 5; it was a short trip because I just wanted to get some eggs. The employee said they were closing soon and so was the petting zoo when I first walked in; I mentioned I was going to be quick and just wanted to get some eggs. I didn't know they had a petting zoo so I made a plan to go back again another time. The store was your typical farm stand, they had eggs, honey, cookies, apparel, and various of other knick knacks. They were having a sale, buy one dozens eggs ($7) and get one dozen free. The chickens were laying too many eggs and they wanted to get rid of as many as possible. The second time, I got in earlier in the day and purchased petting zoo tickets; $8 per person over 2 years old/under 80 years old and for an additional $2, you can purchase feed. I highly recommend getting the feed, the animals loved it. The petting zoo was bigger than I thought. There's even a playground with benches and picnic tables. The place seemed clean and the animals seem well taken care of. We saw pigs, llamas (my favorite), sheep, goats, alpacas, peacocks, cows, ponies (another favorite), donkeys, bunnies, chickens, and a black cat.Inside the shop, there were baby chicks, birds, and guinea pigs. There were signs explaining what type of animals, facts, and their story/names throughout. They also offer pony and tractor rides for an additional fee. There's a huge pavilion with picnic tables; you can bring your own food in. Also, there is an Airbnb onsite and people book their weddings there. There are many events hosted there as well; children programs and summer camps are popular ones. My kids and I had a blast petting and feeding the animals. I highly recommend!

Two of our three kids had their first sleep-away camp experience last summer at Greenwood Trails…read more It was actually the first time they had been away from home for more than a few days for any reason, so we were all a bit anxious--to say the least. I started to relax at the drop-off, when the kids were somehow whisked away in a happy hoard and never looked back. I fully relaxed when we had our phone call with the kids after the first week, and they breathlessly told us all about how much fun they were having and reeled off the names of all their new friends and didn't mention a word about missing us. When we picked them up a week later they acted like seasoned, independent campers -- eager to show us around the place and to tell their little sister that she HAD TO go next year (she was sold -- and all three will be attending together for the 2022 summer). There was not a single complaint. Our kids are VERY different from each other, and they both found plenty of activities that they loved. For one, the highlight was the trapeze (she has actually continued with trapeze locally since getting home, after getting completely hooked on it at GT). The other was enamored with all the sports and competitions. He is also now on some sort of mission to do some crazy number of different activities over the course of what he presumes will be a long camp career, and thus earn some sort of reward involving a walking stick with bands of colored tape around it (yes, he is a little competitive). We have been nothing but impressed with this camp's administration, from our first interactions through to the last day pickup--these people are ON IT. This was especially appreciated last year since we were all freaking out about COVID going into the summer and we were putting a lot of faith in this camp. GT just consistently said the right things, with the right tone, at the right time to keep us at ease and confident that our kids would be in good hands. Then they delivered as promised. With all the chaos last year, these guys were like a model in organization, communication and responsible/rational behavior. We are super excited for our 9 year old to get to join her sister and brother this summer, and can't wait to see her come home a more mature, confident and independent version of herself -- just like her siblings did.

My Daughter talks about going back to camp the minute she is picked up at the end of summer. The amount of activities they have for the children keeps them moving and their minds working all summer. I am saddened to see that a bad review was left for this camp. Owen and the staff have been nothing but extended family to all the campers that attend Greenwood trails. Thank you Owen and Staff for making memories that will last a lifetime for my daughter. I will also be sending my other daughter to Greenwood trails when she is old enough to attend.

Disney is NOT the happiest place on Earth - that would be Club Getaway in Kent, Connecticut. This…read morewas my TENTH trip here, and each time I go, I don't want to leave. This is where adults can become kids for the weekend and do all of the fun activities you miss from your childhood - kickball, lake swimming, Color War, water balloon toss, archery, volleyball, climbing, boating, campfires with s'mores and sing-alongs, arts and crafts, and so much more to do! Not enough for your inner child, and need to feed your outer adult? Throw in treetop zip-lining, water skiing, an aerial adventure course suspended 50 feet above the forest floor, sky-cycling ABOVE the trees on a harness tightrope, water skiing, mixology classes, pickleball, a "pub hike" through the woods to various keg stations where everyone tells dirty jokes and sings dirty songs, lakeside happy hours, Boozy Bingo, Costume Parties, and hundreds of fellow adults looking to unplug and relax from the strains of adulthood, even if for just 48 hours. If that is not enough, here is where Club Getaway GENUINELY excels and shines above everywhere else you can go for the weekend: This place has the most amazing, caring, kind-hearted, and engaged staff. Many of the staffers are diverse internationals from two dozen countries and they are here to help you try new things, keep everything safe, and ensure all of your needs are exceeded. There is an amazing crew of social leaders (shoutouts to Hunter, Bluto, and Weekend Ken!) who help organize the activities and "Weekend "Counselors", and motivate you to get out there and try as many new experiences as you can. Food at Club Getaway is way better than you think it is going to be. Upon arrival on Fridays, there is a welcome Happy Hour with finger foods and light bites, followed by family style dinner with salad and rolls, two proteins, starch and vegetables, and dessert. Breakfast in the morning is a buffet with omelettes/pancakes/waffles made to order, scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, home fries, oatmeal, pastries, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Lunch is an EVEN BIGGER buffet with literally 50 different food options (including chocolate bread, and yes, you need to eat it - picture a loaf of bread stuffed with warm cake frosting). Saturdays also include a lakeside Happy Hour with a BBQ, and Sundays also include a sundae bar between breakfast and lunch, just because. I should also point out that each formal meal includes a large screen listing the food items with allergen information - CG takes food seriously and there is always something for everyone to eat no matter one's dietary needs/restrictions. Each weekend also includes photography! Leave your phones in the cabin and let the camp's amazing photographer capture your best (and most embarrassing) moments - within a week of returning to real life, you get access to the hundreds of photos that were taken. Each trip is choose-your-own-adventure style where you are presented an activities list each morning and decide what you want to do (there are only a few activities that are compulsory: the welcome happy hour, the lakeside happy hour (with the lake open), the after-dinner parties, and meal times). My most recent weekend consisted of the following activities: FRIDAY: Welcome and unpack Happy Hour (w/ games, mixers, and light bites) Dinner family style Karaoke/Dance party Courtyard socializing with mini campfire SATURDAY Breakfast Treetop Zipline Archery Pickleball Volleyball Sky Cycle Aerial Park Lunch Color War Water Balloon Contest Pub Hike Softball Lake Swim Lakeside Happy Hour w/ BBQ Shower/Rest Time Costume Party Dinner with Live Band/Dancing DJ Party with Dancing Campfire with S'mores and AMAZING sing-along guitar music SUNDAY Breakfast Pickleball Boozy Bingo Kayaking Lake Swim Lunch Pack up and Goodbyes At lunch on Sunday the staff gives out superlatives (Bingo champion, musical chairs champion, best paint-and-sipper, craziest dancer, best pub hike joke, most drunk, etc.) My friend who came with me won the CAMP SPIRIT award and was given a special trophy. These words cannot properly do justice to the amount of fun I have every single time I come to Club Getaway. This is a magical place - if you've read this far, your next step is to call and book a weekend there. Club Getaway is perfect for groups of friends, bachelor/bachelorette parties (there were four this past weekend), couples, and solo campers too - everyone is welcome and everyone is made to feel special, no matter how many people are (or aren't) with you!
