Don't ever go to them. They are inconsiderate. Their service and policy sucks. My dogs got diarrhea after staying there.

We are extremely disappointed with this place. I've been boarding my pet here for years, but due to my husband's severe illness, we no longer needed boarding services. We called on the day of our scheduled drop-off to cancel and were informed that we would not receive a refund, which we understood. My husband made the call to cancel, but shortly after, I decided that since we were being charged anyway, we might as well board our pet. I called back within 2-3 minutes, only to be told they could no longer take him. I explained that this made no sense--we had just called moments ago. I found it hard to believe that there was no way to bring him in if we were being charged regardless. The staff member claimed she had already canceled the reservation in their system and that there was "nothing" she could do. It's frustrating and disheartening because I work hard for my money, only for them to take it without providing the service. I will no longer be a customer. read more

So far, we are happy with bringing our little guy here when we are out of town, which is a couple times a year for a week to two weeks. We've only done so once so far, but he seemed very happy when we picked him up, and the staff seems to really love him. Their boarding prices are reasonable. Our small Boston Terrier is just over 13 pounds, and he is very low maintenance. I really appreciate that they do not charge one price for all dogs, but rather break it down by the size of the dog. I also like that they give the animals plenty of space, and daily play time. If you're so inclined, there are many add on services like extra play time, walks or grooming. I do wish they would allow pick ups on Sundays, but I do respect that they are giving their staff a break. At least they still have someone there to watch over the dogs. Also, in their system there is a place for notes and pictures, but both were blank / empty. Not sure if they ever update these in the system but it would be nice. Even if pictures were not sent to me personally (like posted in a common place all owners could check out - during play time would make sense). Overall, we are happy with Camp Schulz so far. Our guy will be returning later this year when we go out of town and hope to have another good experience. read more

I took my five month puppy to Camp Schultz because I heard very good things about this place. I was very scared to part from her, but I have to say she was very comfortable and to boot. I haven't got her groomed so when I picked her up seven days later, I had a groomed puppy. I feel that if you have to leave your dog somewhere, this place is excellent. Our dog sitter kept bailing on us last minute and we were in urgent need of a reliable dog sitter for our two dogs. My cousin referred me to Camp Schultz and I am SO happy she did! We booked our first boarding experience from January 4th-January 10th of this year.When we arrived at Camp Schultz, we noticed how homey and Clean it is on the outside of the property. When we entered inside the office, the staff was SO friendly and made my fur-kids feel at home. Of course they were nervous the first time, but once one of the staff members took them to the back, they did perfectly fine. Each Kennel was up to parr and kept clean for each customer. That's how I can tell when a business really cares about their customers, is that they keep EVERYTHING clean.And that's what I loved about Camp Schultz. They have everything for boarding for your dog so you don't have to bring anything but their food. What I also love is, you can add activities for your dog to do while they are there. We added the "Fitness Package" for our Pitbull-And they take him for daily one mile walks and he LOVES it (you can tell by the smile in his picture). We choose Camp Shultz because of the recommendation of a friend who is a repeat customer. We called in, made an account, submitted our pet's vaccines and called in again to make a reservation. The process to make an appointment was fairly easy with the only time consuming thing being getting in touch with someone at the front desk. We dropped off our pet for one night of boarding. We were told we could drop him anytime the day of from 7am to 5pm and pick him up the next day any time and would be charged for two calendar days. When we got there, the check in process was quick and simple. They took our pup to his kennel. The owners were there when we made the stop and they were friendly and personable. I think it was great meeting the owners and felt more comfortable leaving our pet knowing the owners routinely visit. read more

We boarded our 4 dogs for 12 days, because our pet sitter canceled last minute. We had boarded them there in the past, for short periods of time and had been very happy with their care. Where do I begin. I lived in bonita my whole life. I lived down the street from this dog facility. So I thought it would be a great idea to take my puppy Mariah "Mimi" Carey. I was terribly wrong. Do not make the same mistake i did. Save yourself the time money and heart ache. My experience with Camp Schulz has been horrible. I dropped my puppy off, signed all the necessary paperwork. Did the initial assessment. My puppy entered the facility healthy. I asked if the kennels were monitored by cameras 24/7. They said yes. Shortly after I dropped my puppy off I received the dreaded call from Camp Shultz. The call was very ironic. Because they asked me if my puppy had a issue or was limping when I dropped of her. Clear plausible denial of anything had gone down at their facility. I said no way. She was perfectly healthy as the initial inspection and walk through with their staff. I said what happened. They played the dumb card. I said aren't your facilities recorded can you look at the camera recordings. They said oh no we don't have cameras recording; going against what they originally said. So I picked up my dog and they charged me. As I am walking away another associate came out to argue or to confront me. I have no clue. I said what do you want me to say I'm upset. My puppy was I injured on your watch and you claim these facilities are safe. She immediately said well you signed the waiver. I asked her is that all you have to say??? My puppy was injured on your watch. What owner wants to come home to an injured puppy??? You were suppose to take care of her. Your claim to fame is that you offer a safe harbor for puppies. I informed them that they were going to get a negative review from me and then she offered to refund my money. I said If they really cared to handle the situation appropriately they should have done that in the first place. I told them to keep their money. My puppy was evaluated by a well known veterinarian and she was diagnosed with Avulsion fracture left proximal tibia. Do not take your dog here. I do not recommend it. They have no pride of ownership. Lack of any sensibility. I hate the fact I live on the same street as this facility. I'm working to get then permanently removed as their ownership does not reflect the community's values! They are against everything we stand for in Bonita. If you want or need X-rays as proof. My dog needed a haircut...badly! He is a white cockapoo and I let his coat grow for nearly a year without regular brushing, so he was all matted up and not comfortable. Add the fact that he is the epitome of a lap dog, and that makes his unkempt fur even more uncomfortable. Camp Shultz was recommended by Bonita Animal Care (another great place!) so I gave it a shot. They did not disappoint. A few hours later, I got a brand new dog; clean, shaved down, but delicately trimmed around his long, droopy ears. He looked great! He was so happy and excited to be free and clean but most of all, appeared to be taken care of while in their care. I've been a regular ever since and try to get him in there around every 4-6 months for regular maintenance. Great place! FYI, they only take cash or check, so keep that in mind. read more
