I told the lady I had not been there in 2 months and it was definitely locked. Come to find out, my unit was broken into (absolutely no security). They did not notify me or the Police, they just put a new lock on the door and charged me for it. At the very least, they are mismanaged, disorganized and vulnerable. At the very most, they are complicit.

Her response to me was "If you aren't going to stay then I need to call the next person." I told her I would just because I knew she needed help. The very next day, I called in sick and the owners response was "I guess I'll have to move on to the next applicant." I informed her that I was running fever and I wasn't going to come in to work with babies when I was sick. I went to the doctor and tested positive for covid. I then called the daycare and she just told me to send her the positive results. She never apologized for being rude to me, she fired me for being sick, and was willing to put babies at risk of getting sick all for her businesses sake. This daycare gets 1 star from me. The owner should have just had an on call sub to come in and should NOT have been willing to risk the children's health and safety.
