The woman who brought me from the room to the exit door to show me how to access the lab was very kind and professional. The lab staff were pleasant, welcoming and very kind. I received a call in less than 24 hours from Karen in the lab reviewing the results with me. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and the kindness that was shown to me. As for Dr. Sanner, he spent about 30 minutes with me, reviewing my history, meds and any concerns that I might have. He was very collaborative when we discussed my personal health care and I felt heard and my opinion and knowledge were valued. As a new resident to this part of the country, I am relieved to have met this wonderful team and look forward to working together fo a very long time.

This was my first time in 15 years Id been to a doctor so I was pretty nervous. He listened to everything I had to say, asked questions pertinent to what I was going through and my symptoms I was describing. I think he saw I was nervous so we spoke about the Foo Fighters shirt I was wearing to take my mind off being in a hospital. It worked. As far as the correct prescriptions, it's still too early to tell aside from the acid reflux medicine. All in all, pretty much everything I could ask for in a doctors visit minus one thing. I went in for a hearing test today for a job screening for a job at airport and was told my ears were compacted and that my eardrums were barely visible. I'm hoping that didn't affect the outcome of my screening causing me to fail the hearing exam. Anyway, the nurse who checked my ears at the Atkinson office didn't mention it(I'm not even sure if that's a part of her job, it may not be, I could just be being nit picky. She could have been checking my temperature.) It would have been nice to get those things cleared out before my screening. If you are looking for a friendly doctor who truly seems to care about his patients, this is your guy! I highly recommend him!

Even after my daughter complained to him about a sore throat, he did not look in at it. What Dr. Atkinson did not know was that I am a registered nurse and my husband is a MD. We both have a lot of medical experience and felt his care was borderline fraud for the care given. We feel bad for the people who do not know that this care is sub-par and go to him not knowing that there is better care. His nursing staff was also on the rude side. They took me back almost immediately. And when I got back there, I saw that they were quite busy in the back, but it was still very quiet. It must've been the carpet. They took me to my room and asked some basic information and then the doctor came in. He asked me a few questions,taking a history of my health and then started examining my feet. He did a thorough examination, the pulses(pedal pulse) and such things, looking for anything going on with my feet. Then he did an more questions about my feet my health. I told him I had MS and I had paresthesia. I felt numbness and tingling in my feet. I had numbness all the way up to my mid-calf and no reflexes in my feet from the MS. But lately, I have been feeling pain in my two or three of my toes and was sure it was diabetic neuropathy--the name for that particular problem. We chatted a bit about the different things going on, and then he sent his nurse in. She measured my feet, and found one foot a half size bigger than the other foot! We look through the catalog until I found a really cute pair of shoes that look like an SAS pair of shoes i had at home(SAS ARE WONDERFUL but 145-200 dollars) I really liked the tan look, of these shoes. We decided to order those. The total cost, was $300 plus, but my insurance covers most. If you don't have insurance, I'm sure there's a discount. My shoes should be in this next week, and then I will make an appointment and go in and they'll do a quick measure of my feet, let me walk in them, and see how they do, give me some information, and then I'll go home with them. I get three different inserts for my shoes every four months. I'm supposed to change them.m, and I go back in a year for another foot examination. The doctor told me it was very important because of my lack of feeling from the MS, the neuropathy and such, that I definitely needed diabetic shoes to keep my feet safe. I know there's a difference in diabetic shoes, such as slightly wider around the types, and the fit is better--there's less places for your feet to rub, so I was happy with that, so I'm simply waiting now going to get my shoes. Overall, I was very pleased with the nurses, and Dr. Cain. The place was very professional, I had questions, and they answered them. I was easy it was easy for me to reschedule. It was easy for me to schedule a follow up appointment and you asked them about the insurance of what it would pay and things like that--they were quick with the answers. I would definitely recommend you at least try them out. The name used to be Lawton and foot clinic but they now have three different clinics, so they change the name to Southwest foot and ankle clinic that way Altus and I believe, Duncan, would be included in the name. They do many other things as well. But I wanted to give you a step by step with what their sweet and professional was like.

The way he worded his questions and kept talking about medicines to try instead, I told him I'm set on this I don't want to try anymore medications. He plainly said he would not do it, so I said F you I'm leaving. I was so upset I cried in my car. I am an extremely kind person to note everyone but him in his office was kind. I'm still fuming, I don't write reviews but I read the reviews for this doctor ands they seemed ok for the most part but were far wrong. Don't go to this doctor if you don't have children or want them because he is an old white man who thinks he knows what's best for our bodies.

I asked if there was anything open later in the day as I really needed to be seen I was told no but clearly there is I wk in a clinic so I know that appts can be combined to make a longer appt. The last 6 months she has been awful! Long waiting time (if I wait less than 45 mins that's a good appointment) to even see her and her office staff is rude and unhelpful. Dr. Shea spends most of her with her nose in a laptop during a visit and seems distracted when I visit. I scheduled an appointment and showed up to a locked door with staff inside. When office personnel opened the door they were VERY rude and unprofessional. "There's no way you have an appointment today we're closed!"( I keep detailed records of all my appointments) There is no way I could have known they were closed and I was treated very poorly. I will not return to Dr. Shea.
