We've been staying at the resort all weekend and had both breakfast and dinner here and the experience was top notch! Everything from the service (especially Floria - one of the kindest servers I have met in a long time) to the food was as good as it gets. I'm really trying to figure out why this place only has three stars! I'm actually pretty picky and I can say this beats out most restaurants I've been to in a long time that are much more expensive. For breakfast one morning I got the eggs Benedict with the addictive smashed potatoes and then for dinner I had the salmon Caesar and my husband had the goddess chop salad. Both were exceptional. Being from the Pacific Northwest, I am pretty particular when it comes to salmon and it was blackened and cooked to a perfect medium rare. And then they brought out these delectable rolls with their homemade honey garlic and sea salt butter. The next morning for breakfast my husband had the fork and knife breakfast sandwich and I had their pub breakfast and substituted the homemade biscuit with homemade jam. So satisfying! They just go the extra mile here. Everything is made from scratch and the food is fried in beef tallow and you can tell the standard is very high. We also came in on a Friday night and they had live music and the artist they had that night was really good. I wouldn't have expected something this amazing in this sort of setting but we could've stayed all night listening to the music. Overall a great experience! read more

Three stars for the excellent pasta dish only. After being seated it took about 10 minutes to see a waiter. He took our order which was a bowl of chowder for myself and pasta and a beer for my husband. He brought out the chowder immediately. About 15 minutes later the pasta arrived. We had to ask about the beer which he had forgotten. After drinking half the beer he came back to tell us it was the wrong one ‍. We didn't see the waiter again for about a half an hour, finally had to flag him down to get a check. Keep in mind he only had a couple tables he was working, the place was pretty slow so expected better service. Food: the chowder was flavorless and lacked very many clams. The Fire Pasta was excellent! They source fresh pasta from Lago Pasta in town. Chicken was tender and the dish was nicely seasoned. Might go in the future for happy hour, probably wouldn't do dinner again. read more

We had the sweetest waitress and sat outside. I ordered a piña colada and fire pasta with a side of mashed potatoes. I love my taters! My sister was not too impressed by the steak. Like it looks amazing like chef-tastic. However, did not taste it. My plate was good though. I highly recommend the fire pasta! It was a bit chilly for a summer night so I would recommend bringing a light jacket if you go late June still and you get cold easy; like I do. Drove all day to get here and stopped by for some lunch with my service animal. We were seated outdoors, I offered my dog some water from her water bottle. She then stood or sat beneath our table while we waited. When the server approached, she stood up and wagged her tail and that's when we were asked to leave, they said she needed to be lying down and I wasn't suppose to give her water? 1) You can and should bring water for your service animal? Especially in 85 degree weather 2) Service animals don't need to be lying down? They don't seem to know the ADA guidelines at all.. the whole situation was assessed and handled poorly. read more

Definitely would not recommend this place. Very overpriced for poor quality. The $48 ny strip was over cooked and then sent back the 2nd one that was brought out was still not a good cook. I am not sure why you would have a ny strip on the menu and not render fat properly. Now the French onion soup was pretty good but still on the pricey side. Tonight, we experienced a pre-Valentine's dinner at an intimate Lake Chelan restaurant. Delicious American cuisine - I enjoyed the Braised Short Rib and its a lot so I have leftover hehehe and Creme Brûlée with Blueberry for dessert. Luke had King Salmon after a heart clam chowder. We tried refreshing drinks like the "Not So Old Cuban" with white rum, mint, and champagne, along with a crisp white wine and passion fruit tequila sour. We've been dining at Campbells for years and the Veranda is consistent good. The service is always terrific; through the years we've come to look forward to seeing long time server Floria's lovely smile and great hospitality. The food is very good and I especially like the fact that they have some great wines by the glass--better than most restaurants. I'm a Chardonnay fan and I'm never disappointed with what they offer. Sitting outside in the shaded veranda with a cool breeze off the lake, this is what Chelan and Campbell's is known for. If you like overpriced and disappointing, boy do I have the spot for you. We were capping off our trip with a final night dinner at Campbell's. First, I will say, our server was very sweet and nice, if not really on top of her game. We were given a great spot outside which was nice. Our server did tell us that the kitchen was very behind (45-50 minutes) but that turned out to be the least of the issues. We told her we understood and it was all good, we'd just enjoy our drinks and take our time. Things just seemed really off. It didn't seem particularly busy, as there wasn't a packed house. We eventually had to ask for water after about 15 minutes. Our appetizer (steak bites) were really bland and the vegetables on the skewer were really undercooked. My significant other ordered a flat iron steak and I ordered the ribeye, medium rare. It was supposed to come with brocollini and whipped potato's, the steak was also supposed to have a BBQ sauce on it. When our steaks came, the ribeye was super overcooked to well done, it had no BBQ sauce and came with roasted small red potato's. I hate to complain but the steak was so bad...also I didn't understand why it came so off of what it was supposed to come with. The server took it back and about 20 minutes later a new steak came out, this time with 100% different presentation, whipped potato's and asparagus. It was slathered in BBQ sauce. The steak was absolutely rare almost raw. It was inedible. I think they just tried to do it again super fast. I think I left 91.37% of the steak on the plate. My girlfriend did enjoy her crème brûlée she got when I was trying to paw my way through the raw meat. My drink was good. I never hesitate to pay good money for good food. But I was really disappointed (and confused) with the service and the meal. Also slightly disappointing that nothing was handled on the bill. I'm not cheap. I don't expect anything for free. There aren't too many good places to eat in Chelan, so I'm giving this place 5 stars compared to the many other establishments I've tried in the area. Their cocktails are great! I had a honey bee old fashion, which was not only strong, but also delicious. I recommend the calamari steak for an appetizer. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned lightly. The truffle burger was also very tasty. I substituted a side salad instead of fries. The salad was surprisingly a big portion. This place was pretty average. They seem to require reservations for the most part, even when the restaurant seems to be completely empty. Like the hotel, the vibe and atmosphere are outdated, but things were clean so it was fine. I got the lobster risotto (we had a special new years menu so not sure this is generally served!) and it felt like it was microwaved (including the very sad dry lobster on top). My boyfriends prime rib came out cold so he sent it back, and we are pretty sure they microwaved that too based on how it came back out. It was an expensive meal for something that didn't feel very high quality. I went back for brunch because it was the only place open on New Year's Day and that was fine. The gluten free pancakes were lovely, but the rest was pretty standard and our server frequently forgot to bring things out to us. Decent choice if you're staying at the hotel and don't feel like trekking out to town. read more

One word-breakfast! In reading other reviews, we noticed it seemed like breakfast was rated well with lunch/dinner hit or miss....soooo as a disclaimer, this review is based solely on breakfast. First off, the pancakes are truly decadent. They are light and fluffy with a hint of vanilla flavor - yum! Avocado toast was ideal with unique slices of grapefruit and paper-thin lemon slices that were surprising and literally made us return for a second round another morning. Bar tender only seemed to want to sell us liquor. When we finally got a menu breakfast - brunch was no longer being served. 11:30 am. Being Celiac and also morning, preferring egg dish. They told me only lunch menu. Very unfriendly. Very slow. The people next to is said it took 40 min to get their breakfast. Also they literally took another persons order for brunch right before telling me I couldn't order. Their breakfast came out at 11:45 pm. 12:03 pm, contacted person who replied here on yelp (automated response?) Just trying to chill with my mimosa. It's been a long time since I've been to chelan (5+ yrs) the atmosphere was great, our server was attentive and the bar serving drinks was quick! Our meal however was subpar. The kids cheese sandwich was way too "fancy" . My prime rib are decent, but my hubby's new s York steak was so fatty ans grisely. Excellent breakfast! We've come here a handful of times and this was our best experience so far. So the review stars represent the average. The initial service upon arrival was pretty slow. But once we saw the server and ordered all went pretty well. At first we thought they had forgotten about us. Glad they didn't because the actual breakfast was really good. We boated in and tied up at the dock below the restaurant. We sat outside which was nice because of the view. We all loved our breakfast. And the Bloody Mary, with a twist was yummy too. I had never seen this before but the Bloody Mary was served with the side of Coors light. I have a friend that adds beer to her Bloody Mary and thought it was kind of strange and then I saw it on the menu so I had to order it. The garnish on the Bloody Mary lacked a little luster as the toothpick had a lime an olive and then another lime but with that said the flavor was delicious. My meat and egg platter was super good. The sausage was delicious. So were the potatoes. I liked the homemade toast too. My friend loved her huevos rancheros. It wasn't called huevos rancheros here but Campbell's version of it was delicious. All the food was delicious and we walked away very pleased. Our server Cameron was awesome. We got a little confused because his name tag said food runner. So if he was a food runner he did double duty by being our waiter. We asked if they had fresh orange juice and she said no.. sad, broken, depressed, scared, are just few of the feelings I experienced over this fiasco. 10 minutes later she came back with 2 glasses of fresh squeezed OJ that she made herself!! What a queen!!! Food was pretty decent! Great potatoes, great hollandaise, beautifully cooked chicken... you can't go wrong. Also great ambiance for a great brunch (I wasn't the biggest fan of the crab omelette, but that's just me personally. Was in town for a bachelorette party and we needed a good Bloody Mary. Campbell's is an iconic place in Lake Chelan so we figured why not just visit Campbell's. We were happy to see the brunch menu. Also that if someone didn't want a Bloody Mary they could have a mimosa or better yet bottomless mimosas for $18! I got the açaí bowl and a side of potato latkes. The açaí bowl had this homemade crunchy granola and fruit. It was good, but I did not enjoy the whole roasted almonds in the granola. I wish the bowl had more variety of fresh fruit. The potato Latkes had just the right amount of spice, but I wish it came with an aioli or sour cream instead of ketchup. The Bloody Mary mix was great, but I wish it had less chunks of pepper. It was a little bit too Spicy. My friends got the wings. They were covered in breading and barely had any chicken. I am a fan of a naked wing because you can easily make those flavorful and crispy and then they are friendly to those who are gluten free. read more

This was disappointing to say the least. We live in the area and hadn't been in for quite some time. The menu changed with a Chef change a while back and it hasn't been the same. On this evening, we decided to try again, and there was a dish on the Fresh Sheet that looked fabulous. Morel Mushroom Pasta. Morel mushrooms are my all time favorite. The dish came and it did not look appetizing. When I tasted it, it was obvious that these were dried mushrooms that had been soaked to bring them back to life... not Fresh at all! I asked the server if the mushrooms were fresh and she went to ask the Chef and returned and told us "Yes. They are fresh picked Morel Mushrooms that are dried and then available for us to use" I'm not dumb... That means they are freeze dried mushrooms on the fresh sheet of this "fancy" restaurant. This was one of the most disgusting meals I have ever had. It was clear that the staff really didn't care about quality food. Tourists come and go and eat there not knowing how bad it is but they are not returning customers anyway, so it doesn't matter. Never going to eat there again. Sad, because years ago it was one of our favorites and we ate there at least 2 times a week with friends. read more

Very nice atmosphere. Very courteous staff, prompt and attentive service, and great tasting food, well-presented. We were there with 4 generations for a birthday dinner for my 80 year old mother. It was a wonderful experience and our server, Paula made the experience special with a candle on a tasty chocolate raspberry desert and even sang along with us! We would not change one thing.
