Unfortunately, some of the imaging wasn't even performed in the correct areas, and while everyone focused on my rib injuries, the cause of my severe lower back pain was never fully investigated. After my most recent MRI, physical therapy was recommended as an important part of my recovery. Joint & Spine Rehabilitation was one of the providers in my insurance network, and after calling several facilities with little response, I contacted Joint & Spine Rehabilitation. From the moment the front desk answered the phone, I was treated with kindness, compassion, and genuine concern. They asked thoughtful questions, listened to my situation, and scheduled me for an appointment the very next day. When I arrived, I was nervous because of the amount of pain I was experiencing. Dr. Gigante took the time to thoroughly review my rib imaging and asked whether I had ever received a lower lumbar MRI. I had not. He explained that while my ribs had sustained significant trauma, my lower spine may have also been affected by the fall. He ordered the MRI, and I received insurance approval within a week.
