I have gone back to this store and I am impressed, I don't have the pants back yet but being open from 7:30am each week day through to 5:30pm is better than quite a few other places and it makes it easy for people working 9-5 to get there without having to leave work early. Pricing is the same $11 for pants clean plus $8 for the repair, still short of the $20 EFTPOS minimum but I'd be prepared to give a $1 tip to get there and support the local business rather than another that doesn't get the job done properly. If it wasn't for the interesting creatures you get to see in there I would probably try to dry my stuff at home with a hair-dryer. Firle Super Laundrette is conveniently located in Firle Plaza, so you can at least combine it with going to the supermarket. Overall I've always been satisfied with this place because I never had to wait for a dryer and they have a coin machine, which I need about 99% of the time I go to a laundrette. In terms of price and service I guess it's like everywhere else. Around $2 for 8 minutes in the dryer and you'll probably have to use it twice, maybe 3 times depending on what and how much you put in it. One time there seemed to be a problem with their machines and all the dryers (including stuff that came out of them) smelled of gas. Not very nice. But it seems that it was a one-off problem, so 4 stars for Firle Super Laundrette with their coin machine.

It does a lot of local business, so the people who know it don't mind. Their prices are $9.95 for one item or $18.95 for three, so it's definitely worth waiting until you have three. Their same day service is handy, because you can drop off before work and pick it up after. It's especially handy because, if you live nearby, you're likely to drive past it on either of the main roads, and it's super easy to get into - plenty of car parks out front that are mostly empty. They're open from 7am, so it's nice and easy to get something in early, as long as you're back by 5.30pm, which is fine for most people. It's also great if you're a procrastinator and leave these kinds of things to the day before a wedding...
