There is only ONE reason to stay at this ratty, overcrowded run down little campground
... it's proximity to Basel.
Due to a family visit, we trapped ourselves at this little dump for 3 weeks - for a nite passing through, you can squint, take your shower (imagine 2 old men with prostate problems peeing on you...) sleep (if you can - the barges on the Rhine, neighborhood bars or just other insensitive campers provide lots of nite-long entertainment) and move on.
This place is basically a slum-lords campground - clearly some rich owner is raking in as many dinero as possible jammed, during season, as many tents into as little space (sometimes 50 cm away from ours...), clearly raking in the cash while paying the marginally friendly (and marginally competent) caretaker couple to do basic daily cleaning and make sure every cent is collected. The showers, toilets and wash areas all-but suck, the showers already described and toilets are in bad repair, tiles missing, door locks missing. The whole camping ground space is quite tiny but still the internet is pathetic - the worst being that the "caretakers" don't care a shit and when a group of pubescent late teen boys kept the campground up for 3 nites in a row laughing about their farts till 2 am, the caretakers did.... nothing. (signs stating quiet at 10pm notwithstanding...)
