Their…read moremain reason is the pool, they can go up and down that slide for hours, and that does mean a bit of peace for us! It's a large campsite with all you'd expect: shop, bar, restaurant, pizzeria. There are childrens activities thoughout the day and evening and the 'group dancing' both in the pool and at the outdoor bar area in the evenings is very popular. The guests are mainly Italian. The beach is only a few minutes walk away through the pine woods. A good choice for a lazy beach and pool family holiday. The town of Vada is nearby for food shopping.

I had the simple beans and eggplant. Each was a different side, and paired together, made a hearty meal. The beans were beyond delicious. They were simply robed in a tomato sauce (probably with a bit of garlic and other seasonings). The eggplant was equally tasty too. I would daresay, that it would be worth a meal and a glass of wine even if you were NOT staying to camp!

Sunday, dinner 2 People…read more The staff at the Villa Scacciapensieri recommended this place as their restaurant is closed on a Sunday night. We weren't disappointed. It's a bar-restaurant attached to a camping site (which I cannot review as I didn't stay in), so we didn't go in with high expectations. The food's good and cheap. The staff was attentive. I wouldn't recommend anyone go out of their way, but for a place outside of the city centre, on a rainy Sunday night, I wouldn't pass this up.
