The only thing we knew was you had a place to sleep, usually in a house, and they feed you. We decided to stop at some of the other towns and cities in France, and Beziers looked like an interesting town. When I started doing research on Beziers, the Maison De L'orb seemed to be very popular. It is near the Av. du Pont Vieux Bridge, and is a leisurely 20 minute walk from the train station. It is located in a quiet part of the town, which is something we tend to like when traveling. We stayed in the Jardin room, which had a double and twin bed, and both were comfy. There are also these great double doors that open to a view of the river and the garden below. Nice large bathroom with a huge sink! Because the house is old, the walls are thick cement so noise is at a minimum. The interiors are very eclectic and have so much character! You really feel like you're in someone's home! The hosts, Ben and Mark, make you feel comfortable and are a wealth of information about Beziers and the surrounding towns. We had breakfast at 9 am each morning and it was a bountiful feast of croissants, breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese and meats, cereals, coffee and juice. I felt seriously spoiled and very sad when we had to leave because I knew I wouldn't have this kind of breakfast experience anywhere else on my trip. We enjoyed this peaceful haven so much, we asked to stay one more day. On our last night, we opted for dinner at the maison. We met one of their friends who was passing through and staying one night with his daughter. It was such a fun and lively four course meal, that Mark prepared, for 25E, and we choose a wine from Ben's collection for 12E. Their friend, Mark, was from England so naturally the discussion lead to politics and Americans vs. Englishmen...and more wine provided by Ben and the Englishmen...and it was so much fun! I do recommend guests eating together for at least one night. London Mark gave us some great suggestions for our continued journey through France. On our next vacation to Europe, we do plan on stopping in Beziers. It's such a special little town, and the Maison is like a home away from home. To experience a place like the Maison, is to enjoy life! I highly recommend staying a night, or more!

Recently refurbished, the bedroom I stayed in was all silver and white with great views of the garden and river. The garden itself was also delightful with a secret hidden bar and kitchen. Mark is a lovely host and the breakfast was excellent. Clean. Great bathroom. Lovely atmosphere, not clinical like many places. It's not a hotel, it has an old worldly feel to it. It is a home and that should be respected. I will return.

It's an EXPENSIVE 12 euros or so for some fruit, pastries, cold ham, hard boiled egg, coffee, tea buffet. Not worth it. Rooms are spacious and have a balcony. Great location right by Antigone tram stop. 5 minute walking distance to the mall and just a couple more minutes to the city center.

The appartment we stayed in at Les jardins de la Source was the perfect accomodation. It is a one bedroom with a large living room (with a sofa-bed), fully equiped kitchen, bathroom, and walk-in closet. It was roomy and comfortable for two adults and two kids. The breakfast was really good with fresh fruits galore, bread and croissants delivered straight from the local bakery, jam and honey from local producers, yogourts... Miguel, the owner, is very friendly and really did go out of his way to make our stay memorable. He provided a pack n play for our baby, Disney favorites for our elder to watch, and he was very accommodating to fit in a couple of wonderful hammam and treatment sessions in our tight schedule. We had a lovely relaxing time and we will make sure to stay there again on our next trip.

While this may be the most appealing Courtyard with its beautiful pool and balconies, a lot of…read morelittle things are missing or broken. Just getting to the parking garage requires a walk to the reception desk, which is, of course, is not streetside, then walk back to your car. The room safe wasn't working. Trip to reception. Gentleman couldn't repair, had to make a second trip to replace. He did bring some chocolate cookies as a treat... My profile requires feather free pillows...back to reception to ask. Room has no ice bucket...back to reception again. The "restaurant" or Bistro offers three items. Burger, Salmon or a salad with grilled chicken. It's massive and looks like a real restaurant. Fooled again! Nothing like a USA Courtyard menu. Unlike every stateside Courtyard there is no place to BYO food and wine. No common seating area outside the "restaurant ". You cannot BYO into the restaurant either. The staff was helpful so it gets a third star, but put to shame by the two Best Westerns we enjoyed on our trip along the Mediterranean.

Treated us like long lost friends!! Our room was gorgeous and upgraded since we are Lifetime Titanium Elite Marriott members. Linens were superb and lovely bathroom stocked with great towels and nice toiletries. Very comfortable. Also we had asked for help with dinner plans. The young man suggested their own restaurant for dinner as weather was horrible outside with a lot of rain. He made reservations for us which was very nice of him. Dinner was at 19:30. We were greeted by a group of nice men. Waited on promptly. We speak no French but the servers all spoke very good English. We both started with a soup, French Onion for my husband and butternut squash for me (9€ each). Both were very tasty and served with organic breads. (Sorry no photos) Our mains was salmon with risotto and mushrooms (23€) for husband and the vegetarian plate (16€) for me. Salmon was moist and a large cut. All cooked to perfection. Timing between soup and mains was very nice. Overall SURPRISINGLY good for a restaurant attached to a hotel!

The character of the entire hotel is so much more enjoyable than impersonal "chains". Service was wonderful-supportive and helpful. And the hairdryer was so much better than most hotels! Breakfast is great. Light and fresh- a great way to start the day. I asked for and received a recommendation on where to go for a run. I was sent down to the canal, and it was an excellent suggestion. I recommend taking a few euro with on the run- just to stop at one the wonderfully smelling boulangeries on the way back to the hotel. All in all- definitely a great choice if your travels take you to Beziers. I will be telling my colleagues to stay here and no where else while in town.
