Think the hardest part of going to college is the school work? Think again! Dealing with Campus Homes is! If you are thinking of leasing, make sure you go ahead and start preemptively emailing them about issues that need to be fixed. In our house, we emailed them about there not being weather stripping (we could feel the air blowing on all four sides of our front and back door) and the heat not working for about two months; they only responded when I found the Texas Statute about leasing offices having to provide heat when it is below freezing. Upon them finally returning my calls, they told me that that had been received my (17!!!!) emails, and that it must have been an oversight that they had not been replied to, but that our issue was low priority. They also have an after hours number that pretty much does nothing. Our first weekend living here, we reported so many unanswered issues (no hot water, leaking sinks, black mold on the ceiling, no weather stripping, faulty plugs) that the call center told us that we should "maybe stop calling because it doesn't seem like they are going to get to us". It was the same story; we were told all of those issues were low priority. When the electrician finally came out to deal with the plug issue, the back of the plate was completely black from faulty, exposed wiring- maybe we would have been a higher priority if our house actually burnt down?? read more

Beware of this rental company and their unscrupulous contracts and business practices. After my daughters move out, I received an itemized statement of charges that were in excess of the $2495 deposit already paid. They refurbished the property at the renters expense. Charges included replacing the locks, light bulbs, air filters, re painting the entire inside, and mowing the yard. I understand charges for minor repairs, carpet cleaning, maid cleaning, but to take advantage of Texas A&M students and parents to refurbish a house is just plain wrong. I recommend staying away from any property managed by this company. Renters beware!! read more

The most UNPROFESSIONAL real estate agency I have ever experienced. We currently rent a house from them and Alex is very rude and does not communicate with us when things are needed. They did not fix some of the things that were wrong with the house before we moved in and also do not keep the yard and landscape up. Would not recommend working with them if there are other options for real estate agencies. read more

Extremely unprofessional, unresponsive agency! Takes multiple emails/calls to get a response. The apartment was not cleaned or painted prior to move in as promised and 4 months later we still have not been compensated for doing it ourselves. Even after they sent an email requesting feedback from all the residents, they still did not respond to the complaints we voiced! read more

WORST company to deal with!!!!!! The whole team forgot to tell all of us after giving us keys to a 4 brdm house, that we had to call the utilities company to set up everything, including TRASH service! So when we had ALL of trash out, it didn't get picked up. The carpets were dirty and it looked like nothing was cleaned after they said it was. After numerous calls to Fernando, he finally had someone come back and clean. The maintenance guy had to bleach out the disgusting washer and dryer also. We were also not informed about where our mail boxes were OR even given a key to them until after 2 weeks of living there. After numerous phone calls for them to come back and clean AND steam clean the disgusting carpet, it finally was better. But the fact that we had to wait on trash service was horrible along with the staff not knowing how to check renters in was quite amazing. Very clueless!!!! read more

ZERO STARS. DON'T RENT FROM THIS SHITTY CHEAP JOKE. I've lived in this apartment unit for close to two years now and management is SO BAD. The main reason I chose to move here was for the washer and dryer which doesn't even work!!!!! It's so cheap and so poorly designed. The parking lot is absolute garbage, even the dumpster is the worst I've ever seen. The on site office is almost never open, and when it is the person there usually doesn't know what's going on/can't find anything. The AC/Heater has had to be fixed SEVERAL times. My plastic blinds keep breaking at the drawstring, and when I asked for the better kind that other units are now getting, the "manager" literally said WHATEVER on the phone and said that next time I have to replace them. !?!?!? Oh and one time the whole maintenance crew was outside pissed off because they weren't even getting their paychecks on time. That's a strong red flag that this company does not have it together. Horrible place horrible management, trust me- it's not worth it to be this close to campus but in a shitty apartment with crappy and RUDE managers. Not professional or helpful. When I turned in my deposit, they couldn't find it later and asked me to "pinky promise" that I turned it in. When we moved in, we had a broken dryer, washer, toilet, bathtub, ice maker, and garbage disposal. They have one maintenance guy (who is great) but you have to call several times before Campus Homes will do anything. We've also had several security issues that we've asked to be taken care of and even that took several calls and maintenance requests before anything was done. It's cheap to live there, but it's inconveniently far from campus. Management is never good in college towns, but I've never had an experience this bad. They are really unprofessional and a headache to deal with. I'd say it's worth it to spend a bit more money for better management. read more
