Then I had the truly marvelous pasta special, penne with shrimp, wilted greens, and tomatoes. And a glass of a marvelous local red. My husband loved his hearty tuna steak and potatoes. We said no to dessert but were still spoiled with a shot of local herbal anise liqueur and small squares of a caramel like cake. Our waiter was tremendously friendly and personable. Bring cash -- prices are very fair but they don't take credit cards.

I had the gambas al ajillo garlic shrimp and some breaded dish, my companions had various meat dishes that I also tried. All very average at best. We think our waiter hates us-- couldn't even tell if at times he was kidding around or just being malicious (I speak Spanish). Toward the second half of our meal he completely disappeared (I think he was cutting jamon?). We finally had some of his coworkers get us drinks and finally the bill. Everything was edible, but nothing spectacular. Service was not great.
