As it was morning, the outdoor cafe wasn't open but folks were just coming in to grab and go. By all means if you come here, please you MUST try the **ensaimada de crema** (might also be called "ensaimadeta")! It was different from others I've tried, it's not just a spiral of creme but it was all pooled into the center. When we first arrived, we had to wait in line for about 30 minutes, which is typical (no problem at all). We knew what we wanted and ordered right away. We of course got the Ensaimada, apricot ice cream, two iced coffees (it was so hot, so we got iced, (I know what you're thinking, silly Americans)). If I could go back, I would get an espresso or cappuccino because I think it would have paired much better with the pastries. I also asked the server if he had any personal favorites he would recommend, and he brought us a Cuarto (sponge cake). This was not very good in my opinion. It was basically flavorless and very eggy. The Ensaimada was delicious! More oily than I expected, but still very good. I also loved the apricot Ice Cream! As to the service, when we were seated, our server was very dismissive and inattentive. We did not have silverware at our table. No problem. Figured it would be given to us once we got our order. Nope. After we got our food, our server ran away and never came back to us, so I never had the chance to ask for any silverware. Had to eat everything by hand. Thankfully the ice cream came with a spoon. The inside is not huge, and we were seated in a small table tucked away in the corner. Maybe that's why our server basically forgot about us. One tip is that when you're finished and ready to leave, you go to the counter to pay. The server will not come back and hand you your check (at least that's how it worked for us). I could tell there were a lot of locals and Spanish-speaking patrons, so if you're American or don't speak Spanish, don't expect them to be the most friendly. Don't let that scare you though, I promise you will be so happy once you bite into one. Plus it's all cute and spirally Now if you can eat more than one item, go all out then! An adorable older couple runs the shop and goods are baked daily. If you want specific items, it may be worth pre-ordering on their site to ensure they don't run out. If you take a ship in like I did, it's a 20 min drive from port. However, it's surrounded by a lot of great restaurants & sites to see. Staff is so nice but keep in mind they close at 8pm each night. We went near closing and had no line, but I have heard lines build during the morning.

The bakery at the upper floor produce the fresh products for the Cafeteria on the ground floor. A Environment/ Design in a shabby look with old materials inside, outside and in a patio.
