However, if you're a business owner in Metro Detroit or just like the inside scoop on business trends, it's a good publication. Full disclosure: I work part-time for another Michigan-based business-to-business publication, so I'm somewhat biased. However, I think Crain's does a good job for the niche it fills. They do less well with the outlying communities; in my opinion, several smaller business-to-business publications do a better job of very local business reporting. However, Crain's does a nice job with specific Detroit news that's relevant to local business people. The covers are bright and glossy. Inside, the business features inside are well designed and interesting, and the hard business news is handled well, too. The associated website is also useful and easy to navigate.

I have noticed a current trend to cover AI and it's uses for the buyers and sellers of automobiles. It's a trend I have to stay on top of in my business, among others.

They have me cracking up the entire way from dumb ass criminal of the day, bitch is trippin, news, sports, Andrew the man expert, organism Rick, that crazy smoking granny who loves White Castle and adult novelties, Leon the sex coach. I love when Mark Steinus from ET calls in...he's a hoot! The listeners write in needing advice and they have some unique issues to boot! (Should I sleep with my friends mom, should I let her dominate me for cash, crazy roommate might be a serial killer, you know everyday stuff) I miss sexy Wednesdays. Then there's those dang Canadian fast food commercials-I'm jealous Poutine with butter chicken...I'm a sucker for fusion food and anything curry and unexpected french fry uses (Bucharest Shwarma, California Burrito at Carnival)! Other than Dave and Chuck..it's nice to have a radio station that plays something other than the same 8 sugar pop. Radiohead, Weezer make me happy. I could use more Ramones, Flaming LIps, Talking Heads, Janes Addiction, and obsecure things like CBC Radio2 plays. Bonus on the weekends they play retro tunage!

WEMU is the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti's lesser known radio station after WUOM, but it has its own charms…read more They play a little less of the big-budget talk programs and more jazz and world music. They also have some local features. The production comes across as a lot less slick than WUOM, but it also has more local flavor, and that's always nice in your local NPR station.
