Also did a little shopping and even stopped at the Telus store for some Iphone troubleshooting. The Mall is a nice spot. Plenty of natural light from the ceiling windows. One can easily spend hours in here with the wide variety of food, drinks, and shopping options. To top it all off, there is an absolutely stunning garden on the fourth floor with ample seating and complimentary WiFi. I can see myself just posting up there and getting work done, reading a book, or just relaxing. Only downfall is that all the washrooms are on the fourth floor and with how the escalators are set up and small elevators, it can be a pain to get up there. There were a few escalators that were out of service when I visited as well. Overall, phenomenal shopping center that I will definitely be visiting often while here.

My husband knew they carried Ecco shoes so we decided to check them out one lovely Saturday - yes they are open on Saturdays! The store is huge!! They are a one-stop-shop for all your business attire needs including dress pants, jackets, wallets, ties, accessories and really awesome shoes. The customer service is outstanding. When you go, I highly recommend grabbing Ryan to help you out because he is a wealth of shoe knowledge and extremely attentive and professional. While helping my husband try on shoes, he told us about the rich history of the store in Calgary, the European suppliers that they work with, and shoe features men and women should look out for. You'll notice that the prices at O'Connor's is higher than your average mall store. That's because the products they carry aren't *average*; they don't work with cheap quality suppliers. My husband didn't end up buying anything that day because he's waiting for his new orthotics to come in, but he has his eyes on a pair of pretty Eccos. For the ladies, the women's store is across the street where they also carry high quality shoes and clothing, where I bought a brand new pair of rose pink Ecco sneakers. Additional features: - heel restitching - shoe polishing - shoe recovery from salt damage - in-house tailoring - free parking on the north side for customers

We never go down to -40 nor half of that. The coldest we can ever get is 0 degree Celsius. Vancouver started introducing Canada Goose just last year and it only started to become popular last year. Call me naive but I have never heard of Canada Goose until only back in 2017 when I was first in Calgary (I left at the beginning of November 2017 so I didn't need a winter jacket). I don't even think that kind of winter jacket was ever sold in Vancouver until in recent years or maybe it was just never popular. I thought about going to Eddie Bauer to check out their jackets. But where I am located, I am limited to what I can get. I ended up going to the Core Mall, to Holt Renfrew. Prices are the same as any other Holt Renfrew. The jacket came to $1,102 including tax. It is great that I will be living in Alberta during the winter and it is just one tax. The items sold at Holt are of high quality. Service was ok. When I walked in I wasn't dressed top down like someone with money. After I tried a few things on, the sales person walked toward me and spoke to me in Mandarin. Only issue is that I don't speak Mandarin. So, I told her English only (in case she starts speaking another foreign language). So, the sales person is a bit slow in recommendation. She seems to be a student. She is young and pretty looking. But she doesn't seem to know the products she is selling very well. I mean I guess Holt hires based on looks with not much training. Well, I ended up buying my Canada Goose jacket. But in terms of the service I get at Simons, Simons has better service. Also Simons is not as high end or as high of a price point compared to Holt. But I do shop at Simons quite a bit. Well I just needed something to survive the winter given I am living in Calgary downtown and selections is limited. I am buying out of necessity and less of what it is. Definitely need that jacket to do grocery shopping and etc. Holt Renfrew has a similar layout as Vancouver Holt Renfrew. It has multiple floors and the store is bright and spaciously laid out. In the USA, Holt Renfrew competitor is Nordstrom. I do prefer Nordstrom over Holt.

This is a store with solid lines of both men's and women's fashion, but be on the lookout for Leo's accessories; Bling and Da Bomb. Great necklaces in silver with a simple initial hanging in lower case letters, wonderful belts and kick ass bags and purses. They are moving into Aussie fashion, it's the swagger sensation for the new season, and I find that their pieces although pricey are quite unique. This statement is simply not true, as more boutique style stores have opened in Calgary over the last two years or so than ever before in recent memory. More to the point, Leo Boutique is great, has many brands and styles not often found in Canada such as Acne, but also featuring more common up and coming brands such as Nudie and Cheap Mondays and other great Swedish brands. Great service, the decor is also very simple but equally elegant. This is one of 17th ave's best
