The only reason I'm giving this store a 2 star review is simply because I am a believer in the idea of everything being able to be fixed , in this case the problem is with the manager meaning that they spend the entire day in the office and not just walking around the store and listening to the people who supposedly are there to work and help the customers where they could learn soooo much try training the staff not just sending them to class or learning from other employees head office could make most of these bad reviews disappear simply by hiring good knowledgeable managers that actually care about their job read more

Every-time I have ever went here it was the same thing every time. I can't find what I need because everything gets moved all the time then when I go and try and find help to find stuff I can't seem to find any staff. I eventually find what it is I'm looking for (no thanks to the staff) then I go to the cashier and now I just go to the self checkout because the staff really don't care about wasting your time they will sit there and chat to each other while ringing up your stuff and won't notice you are waiting until about 5 minutes later. If you go here I wouldn't even recommend going through the doors! read more

Very poor customer service despite no one being in store. Staff standing around talking. Julie the returns cashier had her back to me for several minutes before another staff member made her acknowledge me... then I received a very poor attitude regarding my question... as if my question was personally inconveniencing her. Not the first time this store has provided poor customer service. Manager needs to have staff do some Serious training!!! If you need service then I would go elsewhere! read more

I was going to give Canadian Tire a two star but their customer service is so bad I couldn't move my cursor over that far! I cannot believe any Tire owners ever visit their own stores. It takes you at least 10 minutes of standing in the aisle to finally flag down a clerk (a sales associate?!) who usually tells you that it is not her section. They have a training program teaching the clerks how to avoid eye contact, dodge down an adjoining aisle and not to know where a single item is located other than the lawnmowers you are standing in front of. And Automotive is a beaut ... go to change your tires, and they come up with more repairs than a Nascar overhaul. Yikes! Get out of head office guys and see what is going on in your stores! You can do so much better with just a bit of work. read more

Very poor customer service at the parts counter. We returned a battery we bought 7 months ago for our truck, that was not holding its charge. We were being looked after by a friendly and helpful staff member, when Blaine rudely interrupted saying he wouldn't do the return because we were beyond the 90 day refund policy, without even listening to the issue we had with the battery. We tried to explain that the battery needed to be programmed into the battery management system of the truck with a scan tool, but Blaine stood behind the counter with his arms crossed his chest, saying "well, I never heard anything like that before". Instead of actually checking Canadian Tire's site to see the details on the battery, Blaine actually argued with us, making us look like we didn't know what we were talking about. Instead of arguing with a staff member who obviously knew nothing about the product he sells quite often, we asked to speak to the manager. The manager went straight to CT's site and looked up the information (with Blaine still standing there with his arms crossed), and read off exactly what we tried to explain to Blaine. The manager made a quick phone call to have the solution to our issue approved and we were on our way. What I would like to see happen is for staff members (namely Blaine) to be better educated on both good customer service and product information because they apparently think they know it all...but they obviously do not! read more

Very knowledgeable auto service staff I went to havey car fixed and wasn't given the run around I got straight info and decent prices and everything was done when they said it was going to be finished. They even offered me a free shuttle ride to work. read more
