We wanted something more hip, more modern - and Mani's creations are just that. Mani's Style: Mani marries traditional Indian clothing with hip. That's the best way I can describe her style and designs. She tries to make sure her clothing appeals to a younger crowd (while also having stylish but conservative attire for older age groups). Her designs are incredibly stylish, inventive, and reflects current trends. Colourful, but cut well, and stylish. The Showroom: Mani Jassal herself is incredibly sweet, helpful, and responsive. Visiting her showroom is by appointment only, so you have to reach out by email to set something up. Once you're there (with Drake and upbeat hip hop humming in the background), someone is there to assist you with finding what you're looking for. The showroom is clean, presented well, and reflects a truly modern and trendy style without straying too far from the foundations of Indian dress. Pricing: We actually found pricing to be very reasonable, compared to other more traditional shops we visited in Mississauga/Brampton. Overall, we were really glad we found Mani. If you're looking for Indian formal wear that's on the trendier and modern side (but still reflecting Indian dress style), this is the place for you. I highly recommend checking out her shop!

It made sense to get this particular gift because my cousin that is getting married collects snow globes and my wife and I often buy her one and send it to her whenever we go somewhere where we think she may not have a snow globe of that place. The store has a bunch of different gift things like picture frames, desk items like paperweights, pens, jewelry like bracelets and just about anything you can think of that is personalized by engraving. The snow globe we bought was 40 dollars and with the customized engraving it turned out to be about 80 with tax. It's a nice gift for my cousin because of her love of snow globes. Besides that you'd have to like the stuff in the store to buy it whether you really want it engraved or not. We were able to get our purchased engraved the same day but we had to come back in about half an hour. Friendly staff here!

The employees need to take some customer service courses and learn how to be polite with customers and respect. I have never been so belittled before. They were talking to me as if I had no education and didnt understand english and how retail works in fact I have and still am working in retail. I really appreciated that Adriana was conservative in her order time approach rather than blowing sunshine to get me to order something that might not arrive in time. I took my chances with the Amazon dress which did arrive timely. It was also workable given how cheap it was and I was so happy when I returned here. Adriana gave me a fitting consult and advised she'd have it ready for me several days before my wedding date, down to the hour of 3:00 p.m. that pickup date. Sure enough, it was ready exactly when she said it would be. I tried it on with my shoes and everything was perfect - hem and upper body alterations. I asked for the leftover fabric pieces to maybe make some matching hair bows or something and they were waiting in my dress bag. With taxes the hem and alterations came out to about $90 which was actually more than I paid for the dress, and it is worth every penny. I asked if she provided pressing service but she doesn't provide that service. She advised me on the proper setting to use if I did it at home as opposed to taking it to a dry cleaner, so I did it at home and it turned out fine. She used to be located down on St. Clair for about 12 years and then moved up to Vaughan about a year or so ago, so while the store is new here, her experience is solid. She has a fantastic interactive website and answered my message immediately from there while my dress was in the shop. She's upbeat and professional, as well as good at her work. I will return anytime I need an alteration done for any occasion.

I remember waiting for what felt like ages at the checkout when I last visited it. I was here on a Wednesday evening. It wasn't as crazy. I spent a lot of time looking at purses. There were many that I found interesting and cool. I found a Kipling crossbody in a cheerful cantaloupe colour. I already own this style in purple, so I didn't need another one. If I did, I would have bought it. Sure enough, I did not steer the woman at Penningtons wrong. I found a few gel nail strips that were waiting for her to snatch up. The shoe section is impressive. There were many pairs of footwear for my size 11 feet, from sandals, to sneakers. I saw men's shoe sizes go up to 14 at this store. It was impressive. The drinkware section is also decent. You can get tiki and pineapple mugs to conjure tropical vibes. I was thrilled to see a good selection of travel tumblers. The athleisure wear section was also cool. I liked the Adidas tops in cheerful colours, such as lime and pink. There were also lightweight track pants and shorts that looked stylish and comfy. This store has a small plushies section. I did see Hello Kitty and a couple of Squishmallows while I was there. It's a small, but mighty section. I was briefly waiting in the lineup before I approached a cheerful cashier.
