THE BIG: Located in Grandola, Portugal. Right in the cusp between the Alentejo wine region and the peninsula de setubal wine region. Reservations needed ahead of time. Big tasting room. Parking available on site.
THE BLACK AND WHITE: We came here a big early and we couldn't get inside the property, so we wandered around the small village next door before our appointment at 12:30pm.
When we got in, we got an intro on their wines that included wines that were aged under sea water (which had barnacles develop!) and wines that were aged in salt caves. The tasting came with five wines, two whites, one rose, and two reds. All wines were Portuguese varieties and the tasting came with bread and light meat charcuterie!
THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, we got a wine tasting and a bottle of white wine that came out to be around 36 euros. read more
