The fact that it's handmade is really important to me because this means there's only one of each! There will be no repeated patterns& designs. I also love the fact that the money will be going to the workers and owner of the store (whom are locals.) Because there's only one of each, and all equally beautiful, I literally stood there for 30-60 minutes looking for the right one. The lady that worked there was extremely sweet. She explained how it was handmade and what fruit it's made out of (I actually don't remember what it's called, but she said it's a hard Mexican fruit.) It was fairly easy to negotiate with her because she saw how hard it was to pick one. Also because we bought two, she gave my friend and I a total of $10USD discount. I would highly recommend buying one! I bought a ceiling hook just for this light and it's just too gorgeous.

Everything here is made with bamboo. The sheets, the pillowcases, the shirts, the underwear. It's all incredibly soft, supposedly breathable, and... ridiculously overpriced. This type of storefront was probably a huge moneymaker at lower prices back in the day, but now anyone with a cell phone can immediately find comparable products at much cheaper prices. Of course, the staff will assure you that there's something somehow better about this particular brand. While I'm sure it's superior to a random drop-ship company you'll find on Amazon, there's nothing justifying the fact that every product in the store is 5-10x what you'd be able to get it for under a different brand name.
