This is the only place I can consistently find mini-jawbreakers, my fave! I dropped by here last week craving chocolate. Thing is, my sweet tooth cravings don't last very long, but when they hit they hit hard. For some reason, buttercream filled chocolate was screaming my name. "Taara! Taaara! Come eat me! I promise I won't melt in your hand!" Although these candies are only usually sold per quarter pound, the lady was nice enough to allow me to only buy three little pieces. Hey, that's all I needed or wanted. With a huge selection of chocolates, candies and other items to satisfy your sweet tooth, there's probably something for just about everyone here and you can buy as much or as little as your little heart desires.

Candy pizza- the box looks so real.

Looking for candy to take to the movies? Or just filling that aching sweet tooth,Candy World has a huge selection to choose from. All kinds of unusual flavor jelly beans, such as Dr. Pepper and cream soda. Of course they have the traditional flavors too. There are chocolate truffles, fruit filled truffles, chocolate( both white and dark) pretzels, and delicious chocolate and nut candy bark. I was fascinated by the bouquet of chocolate roses. There are small plush toys and even character lunch boxes for spoiling children. The staff was kind and helpful. There are old school candies, like Jaw breakers. It is a dream world for a sweet lover like myself. If you are taking a child, enter at your own risk. You are sure to go home with some candy for everyone.

We got a blueberry pop tart, and some raspberry scones, along with a chocolate covered vanilla cupcake. Yummy! The only problem is that Henry's is not just a dessert bakery - the store may appear tiny on the outside, but it's huge on the inside. In addition to the bakery, they got all kinds of candy and other goodies for sale. I gotta stop back in another day and try all the other good stuff inside. Plus, you can tell from the Rick Astley-inspired sign outside, Henry's has a great sense of humor. This is exactly what small business brings to the neighborhood. Stop by and visit Henry's Sweet Retreat - you'll be glad you did!

All of it was DELICIOUS! The small sundaes were huge! Kids could not finish them and at $7ish each hard to beat for the quality! I had an eggnog cupcake. I was not sure it would be good but whatever magic y'all put in it worked great together! The frosting was light and fluffy not too sweet not too bland. And the cake was moist, not crumbly, not heavy just perfect! Had a latte with soymilk because my belly does not care for milk in coffee. Local coffee company supplies the beans. They also have pretty much any kind of candy, pies, and sweets you might need and apparently they cater! Stop in you will not regret it...unless you do not like sweets and then I am sorry.

Walking into Savannah's Candy Kitchen is an experience all by itself--the smell hits you…read moreimmediately and it is absolutely divine! I've been to Savannah's a couple of times before, and they never disappoint. We were in National Harbor on vacation, and of course--with kids in tow--we had to stop in and let them explore all the gooey goodness. Funny enough, they made a beeline straight for the ice cream instead of the candy... probably because we had already been it It's Sugar earlier that day! They tried a mix of flavors--birthday cake, wildberry sorbet, cookies & cream, butter pecan--and I went with mint chocolate chip. Every single one was delicious! The ice cream was creamy, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. And let me just say--I appreciated the pricing. For the area, it was very reasonable. Not over-the-top expensive like Ben & Jerry's, so that was a win! Now for my part... I couldn't leave without trying a few treats. I grabbed a couple of truffles--raspberry milk chocolate, white chocolate, and a few others--and they were all rich, smooth, and delicious. But BABY... that giant turtle candy?! Whew! It was EVERYTHING. Crispy, fresh pecans, buttery caramel, and perfectly blended milk chocolate--hands down the perfect after-dinner treat. And don't sleep on the caramel popcorn with pecans--sweet, crunchy, and downright addictive! The service was excellent! The young ladies working the counters were patient, helpful, and friendly, which made the whole experience even better! Overall, if you're in the National Harbor area--or anywhere you spot a Savannah's Candy Kitchen--do yourself a favor and stop in. You are absolutely in for a treat!

Candy apples, pralines, different chocolates, fudge, pop corn, ice cream, novelty sodas, and more. It was sweet tooth heaven!!! I got there when they first opened so no one was there. The associates must have still been waking up because they were rude and unwelcoming. One walking in and had an attitude and started talking to the other associate. I said hi, she stared straight into my face then rolled her eyes so I said hello again. She finally said hi, but it was absolutely forced. Why people who don't like customers work in customer service jobs really gets me. I'm not gonna lie, it made my a$$ itch a little. My excitement turned to, let me just go!!! So I left without purchasing anything. I understand people have bad days but as expensive as everything was a little kindness would have went a long way. I would have gladly spent my money. I'd prefer to just shop online to avoid moody associates next time. If you're in the area you should still stop by because the store is nice. There are many choices. Hopefully you'll have a better experience!!

So glad they still had an impressively wide selection at the end of the festival as many venders ran out. The Giant Peanut Butter Cup is very decadent with rich dark chocolate and creamy peanut butter. Just a couple of bites was more than satisfying and paced myself and able to devour the cup over a few days. The Dark Chocolate Covered Mint Oreo was delicious and my pick over the Dark Chocolate Covered Oreo, which didn't taste that different from a normal Oreo. Of the truffles, the Raspberry and Dark Chocolate Ganache were my favorites. The Hazelnut truffle was fun to try and reminded me of a Ferraro Rocher hazelnut truffles. I miss seeing Capital Candy Jar at the farmer's markets as many have shut down and excited to see them at more festivals and events post pandemic. Looking forward to seeing them again and coming back for more delicious sweet treats!

Lots of unique candies, Washington landmark Oreos, political party Oreos, ice cream and more. I snagged a few things to send my family for Christmas and can't wait for them to receive them!
