The setting is nice, especially the outdoor seating, but it goes downhill from there. Our waiter was terrible, completely inattentive, saw him wandering around outside talking on his phone all night instead of doing his job. He didn't come by once to check on our table so we had to flag him down every time. Ten minutes after ordering, he came by to tell us that they were out of artichokes, so we ordered calamari. The timing of food was ridiculous. The members of our party with pizza were served, then after 10 minutes, appetizer calamari was served, then after 25 minutes the rest of the party got their pasta. The only comment we got was "sorry the kitchen just does that a lot". Finally, the food was meh-calamari was awful It wasn't calamari "fra diavolo". No spice. Coating falling off. Very bad food service calamari. Pizzas were ok, but sounded more interesting than they tasted. We wanted to try this new location and were looking forward to being there. I am disappointed with the service which was friendly but spotty. First, we ordered an appetizer; it never came . Second, we ordered a salad with chicken. No chicken ! The waitress never came back to take orders for desserts. She started taking our plates away when people at our table weren't finished eating ! It was a busy night but please leave us eat at our own pace! We usually go to the Carrollton location and I think that we will stick with it. We love Cane Rosso but please try to improve the service. I've been to several Cane Rosso locations, but this was my first time at this one. The pizza and salad were on point and the beer was frosty and cold. We had the Billy Ray Valentine pizza- amazingly good! Crispy bacon and crust, so good. The service was top notch. Shorty was a fantastic server and she checked on us a lot to make sure we were ok. Food came out quickly. The manager, Chris, came to check on us as well and he was super hospitable. We didn't sit outside but this location has a great outdoor space, really kid friendly. My husband and I wanted to catch up and enjoy a good pizza. Not happening if you sit inside! The music was so LOUD we couldn't hear sitting right across from each other! We'd been sitting there for at least 5 minutes without a single waiter coming by. Finally a guy came in from the outdoor seating and noticed us looking around for someone, anyone! He stopped and asked if he could get us something. We asked if it would be possible to move outside so we could hear! He offered to help us out and he (Jordan) was awesome! It ended up being a really nice evening. Jordan was wonderful and gave great service. We'll go back if we can sit outside and have Jordan wait on us! We are very happy to have Cane Rosso in our neighborhood, but this location has some things it needs to address before it can be a five star restaurant. First, the west facing windows need blinds. It is SO bright and the outdoor blinds don't do the job (and one has been broken for as long as we've been coming here). Second the servers have been great, we have a "regular" and love to see him. But the hostesses have a bad attitude and always start off our experience in a negative way. Having worked in the service industry, I have to assume this is a management issue. Good management begets happy employees. The food is great, though. My only complaint is sometimes it takes a while for the non-pizza items to come out, seems like maybe the kitchen isn't as organized as it could be. We used to love this place. we brought and told many friends about the delightful staff and the great HH's and food. We were there tonight meeting friends, we were told the outside sunny area that we always frequent was now an area to wait for take out. I asked if we could order inside and take it and eat out there, they called the manager to ask. Jessica, the manager, told me it wasn't a take out rule but her understaffed decision. I talk with my hands, I had my outstretched palm about 4" from my face asking her what difference did the short, maybe 15' difference make? Jessica dramatically backed up and said don't put your hand in my face, good grief......other customers saw her silly drama act. We were meeting friends there and told our friends about the manager's drama. Since we were meeting friends we decided we would stay. They got there, 2 of us ordered wine, we got one, and after finally realizing the waitress was serving other people and not bringing us the other wine, when she finally walked by us we asked about the other wine....she said she didn't know the other guest ordered one as well, instead of realizing her mistake and quickly grabbing another wine, after about 10 minutes we told a server walking by that we were still waiting on another wine, shortly after that we did get the wine delivered. A once favorite place that we regrettably recommended to many friends, is one that I now will be telling those friends and more....don't go. I love all the Cane Rosso locations, always really good. Came to this one and was told it was a 45min wait, I asked to just sit outside as it was practically empty. I was told "it's too hot outside, people go out there and then they come right back in" . Why does it matter if I'm requesting to sit out there? Mediocracy best describes this location. Other locations have been much better. This could be because it's fairly new. This one goes "scrimpy" on toppings on their Pizza and the person next to me agreed on the fact that the pizza was unevenly cooked (which I don't how you're able to do that) with some areas charred (which you get with that kind of oven, just not so drastically). Also a lot of teenagers or obviously new in restaurant business. They were constantly talking amongst themselves, didn't know how to open a bottle of wine and were slow to wait on people. Probably will give it six months and see if there is any improvements, otherwise you likely will be disappointed. read more

After driving crosstown for years to enjoy Cane Rosso near White Rock and in Deep Ellie, we finally tried the location nearest our house on Arapaho. If you enjoy dry tasteless salad and soggy tasteless pizza with a generous touch of poor service, by all means go. Ate there tonight Jan. 1, 2024. The food was good, but the service was rushed. Our waitress asked if we wanted a box to go when we were halfway through our meal. We couldn't believe it. Then she kept coming back every few minutes, asking the same thing. The restaurant was busy, but far from full. There were at least 8 tables unoccupied. I felt like the waitress wanted more business to get more tips rather than trying to serve the customer. Visited the new North Dallas edition of the famed Cane Rosso on day two of operation in Hillcrest Village. They hit the ground running. Hosting team was prompt with reservations, staff was very knowledgeable with recommendations, quick with drinks and food was served hot and quick. Enjoyed the Nuggs first followed by the Carbonara and the Emma pie with some extra bacon marmalade. Managers dropped in occasionally to check their work. It was evident they take pride in their training. The flavor of the food is beyond words and after reading the history of the company they definitely went to great links to deliver the Italian experience the right way. Welcome to the neighborhood. High price for slow service and soggy pizza. This store cannot keep up with demand for delivery but I wonder why the demand? The food tastes ok but pizza is limp and soggy. I am in the process of trying them out again. It's now over 1 hr on Monday 6:00 PM and still no pizza. Pizza hut actually had the better crust. Tried out the restaurant on the 3rd day of opening. We came at 6:20 on a Wednesday; and we didn't get seated until 7:40. Once we were inside, it was just has hot inside, as it was outside on a summer day in Texas. I ordered the Utah pizza, and the topping was good and I would have enjoyed it, but the bottom had large burned areas all around it, which ruined the pizza, giving a bitter taste throughout each bite. My friends pizzas were not as burnt under it. We complained 2 times but both the waiters kept saying it will have burnt areas. We also ordered the dessert pizza: half cookie butter and half s'mores, that was really good. I know they are just getting started, hopefully it will get better as they continue. read more

Every location they open is excellent. Funny how people Complain and give low ratings for a restaurant that just opened. We've been going to this franchise for years. Sometimes the locations do recipes specific to the location such as pasta made "in house." Depends on the chef. So happy they opened here. FYI, this is not a "paid for" rating. Food was not too bad, but I had one of the worst experiences in a restaurant service-wise in my life. In fact, this is the first bad review I have ever left in my life as well, I literally downloaded Yelp to leave this review. Our server "Shorty (that's the name she goes by)" started the experience off by not coming to serve us for about 15 minutes (when there were 2 fully empty tables right next to us in our section). When she finally came to serve us, she instantly blamed the restaurant as a whole that day for her taking so long to serve us (in her section). Then, when taking our orders, my girlfriend ordered a skillet entree from their brunch menu, and then an order of waffles (for us to share). After taking the order she started gathering the menus when I had to say "I still need to order", then she looked to my girlfriend and said, "You're really gonna eat all that yourself?" Rudest thing I have ever witnessed from a server, but don't worry, it gets better. After taking all of our orders, we then waited another 10-15 minutes and had still not received any waters yet at all (25-30 minutes into being there). So we asked an employee next to us if we could please get some waters, so the employee respectfully went and got them for us. Then "Shorty" came over to our table and blamed us because she was reprimanded by her manager for not providing us with waters. She came over to our table and had the nerve to ask if we complained to a manager about her... she said "my manager bitched me out" (verbatim to us at the table), essentially blaming us for her lack of work ethic and for her not doing her job (we saw her in multiple instances just standing around and talking to other employees). Then she tried to blame the fact that she didn't bring us any water in a restaurant with 25-30% capacity still available on "extremely low staff due to there being 9 car accidents that day and all those employees called out". If this sounds exaggerated, I promise you it isn't, they can check the camera footage (if they can even hear it that is. The restaurant was constructed in a way that amplifies sound and you can't hear much in there when having conversation). This is the perfect example of someone that refuses to take accountability for their actions, looks for any excuse possible any time they mess up, and likes to blame all external factors and other people for their life as a whole. Do not go to this location (I have heard good things about other Cane Rosso locations though). Any business that allows this level of service should not be running, or needs some serious leadership help. read more

I've had some bad experiences at this restaurant someone needs to get a grip on managing it. First time I went there it was too loud too bright and too cold the next time I ordered pizza to go and when I got there to pick it up the hostess wasn't anywhere to be found and I had to wait forever to get the pizza from the kitchen into my hand the next time I picked up a pizza and the pizza was awful all the toppings or sliding off and the crust was floppy. Like a food court, Cane Rosso has bland food, kids running around screaming, and unskilled workers who just want you in and out as quickly as possible.
