I went to this salon for a facial and was very disappointed. The treatment room was tiny and not fully enclosed - it had saloon doors instead of a real door. I had to listen to another client jabbering away the whole time while I was trying to relax. It's not the kind of atmosphere I would recommend for relaxation treatments. read more

As a Francophile living in North Oxford, I think that I have found the perfect place to get my pedicures. Cannelle Beaute offers French charm (from the staff), French pop music and discounts for birthdays and special occasions. For a day's treat I would spend a morning being pampered by Amelie or Marina and then treat myself to lunch at one of Summertown's excellent restaurants. read more

I recently had a brazilian hot wax from Cannelle Beauty Salon, and I will never go back to strip waxing again! I was greated by a really lovely beautician, sorry I cant remember her name! She was very quick and very professional and I will definatly go again. To be honest, I say quick, she was quick but the process seems to take forever! But I guess Rome wasnt built in a day..... The only criticism I would have, is that you are taken downstairs through a main massage room and into a side room with saloon style doors (e.g not a closed door with large gaps above and below), I hadnt really noticed this until another client was taken downstairs into a side room opposite and was also having a wax. You could hear absolutly EVERYTHING. I would just imagine that if you had someone that didnt have a high pain threshold in the opposite room, it could make the experience quite unpleasent. Also, it is rather pricey in there (on par with London prices) but I was pleased with the overall results. Shame about the layout of the building. read more

Just a few hour after this procedure around 18:00 I had a very serious allergic reaction, which resulted in my eyes swelling, redness, extreme pain, and blindness. Due to the extreme pain and inability to open my eyes, 111 send me to the local hospital in Bicester, where the doctor confirmed that the procedure that was done by Strand Nails in Oxford was done in a careless negligeant manner, which resulted in glue getting into my eyes, and causing an allergic reaction. The doctor requested me to go back to Strand Nails asap to have the eye lash extension removed, and to make a complaint, which I did on the 7.8.2018. However, I requested my money back, but this request was denied.

Multiple times I got burned by the electric filer and my toe started to bleed. The overall experience was painful and far from a relaxing pedicure experience. In the end I was made to pay the full 45 pounds (even though my feet were bleeding and painful). The pedicure was not worth the price at all and the workers/owner were rude and aggressive. Really unhappy with Strand and will not return and would not recommend!

I have been a regular client here for waxing (through lack of choice) for over 2 years, this has been a mixed experience and not all bad. Today was the last straw. It's complicated but I ended up having to take my son with me today I confirmed over the phone this morning and they said I had to leave the buggy outside the room ok so we gave it a go as no choice. When I got there and the girl had started the treatment I asked whether she was new (as I hadnt seen her before) she said that she was on WORK EXPERIENCE. I immediately stopped the treatment (with two strips off my legs) and went to talk to the manager. She claimed that I should have been told and that they wouldnt be charging full price. She offered me another therapist but by that time my son was awake and I was too upset to continue. Absolutely ridiculous. I had two phone conversations with them and at no point did they mention they would be charging for an unqualified therapist who they were NOT PAYING. Dishonest and unpleasant. I will not be going here again. read more

Cannlle Oxford is my favorite place in Oxford to get my nails done! The staff are friendly and very professional, they're always helpful in helping me keep my nails looking good for longer, thats why I started with the gel nails (recommended by the staff)! Its so nice to get nice looking nails that actually last for more than a day. People think that gel nails do your nails harm but actually mine seem so much stronger since starting with the gels and people always say how good they look! Thank you Cannelle. I would strongly recommend people to come and get their manicures and pedicures, especially since the salon has been refurbished, its even better than before!!! read more

I regularly go to Cannelle in Summertown, Oxford because the treatment standard there is second-to-none. Quality beauty treatments are very hard to find in Oxfordshire and I recently had the most professional facial treatment I have ever experienced. The therapists seem to be trained to a much higher level than the usual beauty salon standard and the attention to all detail makes each visit so pleasureable. I have experienced many of the London salons and would like to say that Cannelle offers a comparable if not superior standard of treatment. (The brazilian waxing is incredible!)
