It also borders five towns: Danbury, New Milford, Brookfield, Sherman,and New Fairfield. This is a very popular place for all kinds of water sports, and bass and trout fishing. There are two state boat launches and many marinas for docking. The shoreline has so many magnificent homes, and don't be surprised if you see a seaplane landing or taking off on the lake. This lake usually gets very busy on the weekends in the summer.

Launch at Lattin's Cove was solid jammed and the number of rude idiots just simply ASTOUNDING. No courtesy for other boaters/pwc's whatsoever. Couple of morons were camped out on the dock and screwed up everyone else's put in/take out routine. No surprise to see the NJ and NY registrations on their PWCs. While coming back in, 3 idiots on PWC's came screaming past us in the no wake zone to "beat" us to the ramp, then they sat there blocking one side of the launch. One fellow asked nicely if they could move over just a bit so he could launch his pwc and he got snapped at by one of the tattoo queens... "we're leaving in a couple of minutes". Definitely will not go back here on a weekend anytime soon. Very sad because it never used to be like this.

Lovely lake beach area for in season Fairfield residents which is not accessible off season or…read morewithout residency. Many trails throughout although no clear map or directions at starting points nor marked throughout. Lots of dogs off leashes so be aware. Drive past the lake and parking area to get to "cascades" area. Peaceful and tranquil nature. Fairly easy "hike" but hiking shoes recommended due to wet leaves and exposed roots and rocks.

Earlier today was the last time I will ever set foot in this store. The man behind the counter was…read morerude and a real cheapskate. His sign indicated that he only raised the price of live bait once in 5 years, but he's done it multiple times over the past few years. As a matter of fact, when I bought a dozen fish, he gave me 11 rather than 12, even going so far as to say he gave me extra. This isn't the exception, but the norm. Stuff like this happens to both me and my other friends that have done business here on a daily basis. This guy's store is filled with overpriced merchandise, and he takes full advantage of the fact that he's the only store near the reservoir. I recommend instead going to Big Wave Tackle instead of this place.

Quiet, alcohol and pet free bay beach and park. Lots of parking, clean and close beach from parking…read morelot. No boardwalk nor eateries but they do have restrooms. Rocky beach and no waves because it's on the bay. Parking is $22 for non residents. Wish the water was clearer but it's natural. Brought water shoes but didn't really need them if you're careful. They have an East beach and West beach within park. West allows bbqs, larger fields and nice views. East beach is more like a beach due to lifeguard staff. They called ahead to explain they were there only for a 20 minute photo shoot and was told it was ok for dog to stay in car .. absolutely unprofessional.. then called cops because son got out of car with dog at gate and had to walk off property but they said dog was on property even walking of the property. May be a beautiful beach but attendents were aggressive and made a chaotic scene in front of lil children. . 3 hour drive to get told no entrance with dog who again wasn't going out of car for the 20 mins they would be there .. but before attacking my children they took her $22 and then tried to say my daughter in law and kids couldn't enter. I'm very upset as a parent and we have dash cam footage to prove their actions .. while she did the shoot a ranger followed and taunted her the whole 20 mins while trying to do her professional photo shoot .. they were instigating a reaction more than what already had occured. I'm a seriously mad momma bear and will be making a phone call to the park authority

Twin Brooks Park is a very beautiful and well maintained park. It has a nice paved walking/bike…read morepath with flowers and trees that bloom in spring and summer. There are a total of 5 ponds/lakes, two of which people sometimes fish at. There are swings (in very good condition) and a playground that is suitable for kids around age 4-13. In the winter Twin Brooks has easily the best sledding hill in a 10 mile radius. It's such a good sledding hill that it can actually be dangerous due to the sheer distance. With most sleds you don't have to worry but with high quality inner tubes you can generate a lot of speed. Sledding not your thing? No problem! There is also an extensive network of mountain biking/hiking trails in the woods to the north of the park. In fact you can mountain bike or hike from Beach Memorial Park all the way to Twin Brooks! Twin Brooks is beautiful in all 4 seasons, just don't forget your Trumbull parking pass. If you don't have one there is street parking on Franklin Street.

It has been decades since I was last here. Used to go backpacking with a friend. We'd bushwhack…read morethrough the woods until we found a suitable spot, set up the tent and wander around. Nowadays, all of us would rather rough it at a Hilton ;) The forest is still there, but some of the trails are blocked off. There must be a reason. It brought back happy memories, cooking on a tiny Coleman stove, using an actual compass to navigate, sometimes waking up with snow outside, always some little adventure. It's a lot more civilized now.

Parking is plenty. I can imagine weekends it gets crowded but there's overflow parking on your way in. Gorgeous selection of two trails, I usually do both to get some extra steps in. Altogether doing both trails is about 2.5 miles. Tons of beautiful views all around. Very very dog friendly as well. I always see a few dogs on the trail. They also do kayak rentals during the summer which seems super fun. Great spot!
