In 1976 the Aasee was expanded and the new part of the Aasee led from the Tormin-bridge to the small bridge Canisiusweg. Water birds found here their brooding or fishes their spawn area. It is also a pleasure to observe the Kormoranes or the grey herons from the surrounding trails at the Aasee. Even the canteen of the university is located at the Aasee. The canteen is run by the Studentenwerk Munster, therefore the above addressing. A place of recreation in the middle of the city!
