After they started the job and it became clear that the slab was 6" thick instead of the 3-4" they quoted, they let me know and did their best to fit as much as they could in the initial load. Needless to say, the additional thickness required a lot more work to break up and an additional load to haul off. He gave me a reasonable quote, and we scheduled the job. The day of the job, he didn't show up and didn't respond to my calls or texts. My husband then texted him from a different number as if he were a new customer, and he responded to my husband (the new potential client) saying he had availability Tuesday. Only after responding to my husband did he finally text me back--an hour after he was supposed to arrive--saying he had been injured on a previous job and wouldn't be available until Wednesday. I understand that injuries and unexpected situations can happen. However, it was frustrating that he was actively responding to a potential new customer while ignoring my calls and messages about a job he had already committed to. A simple heads-up would have been understandable and would have shown basic consideration for my time. Very disappointing and unprofessional, especially after he specifically assured me he wouldn't leave us hanging.
