I liked the paintings here & some classic old maps of interest of FL such as the Everglades. I feel the items here aren't as smart as the Cocoa Beach library. I didn't find the new books, CDs, or DVDs to be that interesting. The travel guide books were quite dated as many were 2005 or so meaning over a decade old. I did find the cookbooks here to be quite alright as they had many solid vegan, vegetarian, & plant based cookbooks along w/ an eclectic array of other classic cookbooks from various other cuisines of the world. By far the cookbooks here are the best thing going for this library. Good thing you can order items from any of the other libraries to be picked up here.

We go to this library 3-4 times per month with our twin boys age 4. They both love the books and…read moretoys and crafts. Unfortunately it has changed over the summer, and now it's a very unwelcoming place to younger children. They seem very concerned with normal levels of noise that should be expected in the kids wing. They installed musical instruments into the wall but don't want kids to play them? I mentioned my issues to my church mommy-and-me group, and several of the other moms have had the same experience there! They all told me they have since stopped taking their kids there which I find very sad. Hope they can make the changes necessary to make this place inviting to young emergent readers.

Here are my suggestions for the Brevard County Library System: Consider clearing books and other media that haven't been borrowed in the last two to three months, given the limited space and personnel at each library. Conduct surveys among regular library users to identify their preferences for books and media. Share this information in relevant media outlets, allowing people to purposefully contribute.

The staff here is friendly. There was a couple good vegan cookbooks in the cooking section. Overall though didn't really find too many of the book selection that I was drawn to. I found the selection of CDs here a bit underwhelming. They did have more Jimmy Buffet albums than I have ever seen at a library anywhere. If you are into Jimmy Buffet go check out the Port St John Public Library as you won't be disappointed.

There's a really cool spiral staircase, high ceilings, and art all around. From the outside you would almost think it's a museum rather than a library. From balloon animal courses, fiber arts, Renaissance events, resume help, or language learning, this location has it all! Plus, the staff has always been super kind and helpful. I've personally taken a couple of foamsmithing classes where you make props for cosplay. In Foamsmithing I we made Deathstroke masks. In II we made pokeballs. Both classes were a blast and I can't wait for the next one!

Parking is tricky for members of the public but there are two or three public parking lots. Please note, if you plan on visiting this library call security or campus safety and they can provide you with a parking pass. Not only is this one of the best libraries I have visited (referring to study space, staff friendliness) in the Orlando area, it is also extremely comfortable. There are tons of different, unique, and spacious chairs to use. There is a section on the 4th floor called "Tower Reading Area" this unique space is hidden and tucked away. I often…read morehave to wait several months for titles that are featured in many newspaper reviews and even then, some of those books are only available by e-book, which doesn't work well for me. Additionally....I wish they would spend the money to get patrons access to KANOPY, the free streaming service with top notch indie and foreign films. They offer HOOPLA, which pales in comparison. Still, an absolutely lovely facility and I'm so pleased to live right by it.
