Every member of staff, nurses and doctors were exceptionally kind and professional. They provided me with great care. During my time there I really experienced the warmth and spirit of the Basque people. Even if you don't visit this hospital (!) you really have to visit the Basque regions of France and Spain.

Here is a summary of my very efficient appointment at the hospital: took a ticket number & was promptly called by one of the receptionist/admission clerks who checked me in and then directed me to the specific waiting room for the three doctors I needed to see. Very little wait once there, doctors who work in hospital are civil servants so they are not concerned with seeing as many patients as in, say Kaiser Permanente The consultation was not rushed and we truly took our time. I had an X-Ray, sonogram and met with the radiology. Next, I took another ticket to pay for services rendered & was in and out if the hospital in less than 60 minutes!! Impressive.
