Underrated pizza spot in Capitol Hill! They have a huge menu of great quality pizzas that are definitely shareable! My favorite was the one with the beef and tomatoes on top! Loved how they have olive oil oil on the side. Even their salad was very good! I highly recommend and I would come back.

Cute restaurant in a cute bustling neighborhood! The pizza was so good and the crust in particular was exceptional. My daughter had the Almalfi pizza, and that one was sooo delicious. The pizzas were generously sized; you could definitely split a salad and a pizza for a delicious filling meal. The service was great: friendly, helpful and the exact right amount of attention. I am just visiting Seattle but I know this would be a favorite if I lived here.

TLDR: pizzas inspired from cities all around the world Really great pizza spot featuring flavors that are both common and unique. Each pizza is named after the city that inspired its flavors. I ordered the Madrid (tomato and bell pepper sauce topped with pancetta, onions, and potatoes) and the Tokio (garlic butter base topped with various mushrooms). For mushroom lovers - the Tokio pizza is for you, the cheese + mushrooms + truffle oil on top really brings it together. For the Madrid, the thinly sliced potatoes on top were what sold it for me, never had potatoes as a pizza topping but after eating this pizza I will now!

Sheesh! I've had the unfortunate displeasure of trying many a pizza place in Seattle, mainly from the preferences of my corporate overlords. Capitale came as a recommendation from a trusted source, and the source's trust has expanded!! My appetizer was the Salmone which was way tastier than it had any right to be. A proper sleeper! Maybe I'm just ignorant but salmon strawberry is a legitimate combo. There's something about a nice pizza that's just satisfying. The dough...texture...flavors. It's all there! The Santiago's multi hour stewed meat topping definitely had that meaty, savory, and juicy flavor that can only be obtained from stewing in its own juices for many hours. Finally, I loved the pistachio tiramisu! A heaping filling to top off the meal. The ultimate compliment - not too sweet. Did I mention that the host and owners were super personable? I don't speak a lot of Italian but I know when it's being spoken around me and I truly believe that it adds to the environment in a flavorful way. 5/5

A cute gem right off Broadway in Capitol Hill! The interior has a beautiful aesthetic, the food was delicious, and the service was superb. Definitely worth a visit.

Really good blue and black berry cheesecake.

Cozy...like your living room with the pizza oven fire flickering like your own fireplace. Someone stretching and placing dough on the pan. Another guy putting pizzas in and out and applying the finishing touches. Each one their own master of their piece of the "pie"! We had the Calabria and the Roma...both INCREDIBLE! Actually, I have ZERO doubt that each and every single thing they make there is absolutely incredible. The only thing warmer than that oven was the warmth of the staff. Felt like family pizza night. Then there's the aesthetics. Beautiful accent lighting...the nerve center of the operation front and center for the lucky ones to notice. Just watch...you'll see the level of care and detail that finishes off the pizza before it makes its way to the table. Artistry! I will request maybe 30-45 seconds longer in the oven next time...I really enjoy a little char on my crust...just me. By the way, the artichoke salad that landed on the table next to us had me about to introduce myself so I could better my chances at getting a taste! Just sayin.

Take an adventure with their thoughtfully created pizzas inspired by regions around Spain. Save room for dessert as the tiramisu is outstanding! Service top notch

The service is kinda of slow. Took a while to get our orders and our desserts. The espresso martini is really good and has that real coffee flavor. The trio bruschetta appetizer was good. The portions weren't big but we got to try it all. The pizzas are really good. The dough is very soft and airy. The toppings are different, not like your typical pizzas. The desserts are all amazing. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent family dinner experience at Capitale Pizzeria. Service all around was fantastic from the small team . Being that we have three children under the age of six I like to make a reservation with notes, the restaurant manager was extremely courteous and accommodating to us (ensuring very little glassware was in the table.) Our entire dinner appetizer, entree, deserts and drinks were wonderful! Perfectly curated Neapolitan pizza that adults and children of all ages can appreciate; our 6 year old ate nearly 6 slices of the cheese pizza, and our 1year old enjoyed the focaccia with pesto! Aside from the wonderful food and customer service I have to review the atmosphere and accommodations. The restaurant itself is very well designed as it's ideal for both intimate dates, professional team gathering, or an early dinner with your family. The restrooms were what captured both my kiddos hearts, my son and daughter could not believe how clean and cozy the restrooms were. Keep in mind anytime we venture to Seattle and my children have to go potty, we have to go wherever is available and in Seattle public restrooms aren't the most welcoming especially to a potty training toddler girl. (From a mom who's always seeking little wins, thank you to the team and owner.) Capitale Pizzeria has officially been added to family favorite dinner location, we will definitely return and highly recommend!

My sister and I visited Seattle for her first time, and we were on the hunt for an amazing Neapolitan-style pizza. Yelp reviews led us to Capitale Pizzeria, and wow -- what a perfect choice! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. Lucas was our server, and he was wonderful -- attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. There was also a sweet Brazilian server who shared tips on where to find pão de queijo (cheesy Brazilian bread!) -- loved that touch of hospitality and connection. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious -- from the wood-fired pizza to the caprese salad (so fresh and flavorful) to my sister's blood orange Italian soda, which she couldn't stop raving about. The only small suggestion I'd make is maybe a bit more mozzarella or balsamic on the caprese to balance the tomatoes. The restaurant itself was spotless, cozy, and beautifully lit -- such a warm, inviting ambiance. Service was top notch, and you could tell everyone genuinely cared about creating a great dining experience. Thank you, Capitale team, for the amazing food and hospitality! We'll definitely be back on our next Seattle trip.

Mediocre food with mediocre service. This was my first (and probably last) time stopping in. The food was OK, spoken as a girl from New Jersey who grew up under a strong Italian influence. The service was also OK. We arrived before a large table who seemed to know the owner, and then was served before us, delaying our food substantially. It was hard to get the owner's attention, as he was also flirting with one of the girls at our table. I went with the Cosenza, which is a take on a pepperoni pizza. The meat was too gamey for my liking. I was at a table of 6 and everyone thought their pie was OK, but nothing to write home about. The space is cute but a little too bright for a date night. I think the presentation beats the taste.

Some of the best pizza I have ever had!! Including in Italy. We got the Sãu Paulo. One pizza is a great sharing size for two people as well. The flavor combination was just unreal, unlike any pizza I've had before. The way they cooked the garlic was very unique! Great ambiance- we went on a Sunday around 7pm and found it not too busy, but still managed to feel cozy and intimate. Great open air dining room and beautiful decor.

Came here for restaurant week and enjoyed the 3 course special menu which included a starter, pizza, and dessert. The beet salad was excellent and full of flavor. The Bologna pizza was delicious and the crust had a nice chew. Unfortunately it didn't seem like the burrata was as fresh as it should be. I say this because usually when I cut open a fresh ball of burrata the inside spills out a bit; I was looking forward to this type of experience with this pizza but the burrata was pretty firm inside and not really spreadable at all. Overall the flavor of the pizza was really good, I was just pretty disappointed about the quality of the burrata. Really loved the chili oil on the table for the pizza, the oil had a very rich flavor. I took the pistachio tiramisu to go and it was packaged up perfectly for that. It was good but kind of bland. No pistachio flavor really stood out and really was just a mid-tiramisu. Service was friendly and warm.

The interior of the restaurant is cozy and simplistic, not too pretentious, and definitely allows you to settle in and enjoy without feeling stiff. First of all, our server (I think his name was Alfredo but my deepest apologies if I am mistaken) was super sweet and attentive. The front of house manager also brought us an amouse bouche at the beginning of our meal and was also super kind and clearly takes pride in his work. He even brought us another one because my husband loved it so much! Our server recommended a wine that was perfect for my palate and paired well with the meal we ordered and my husband's cocktail was balanced and delicious even for a non bourbon drinker like me. We ordered the cabbage appetizer, which was like a more exciting and fresher take on a caesar salad, and was quite good. Then, we had the special risotto with lamb sausage. I would have absolutely done unspeakable things for more of that risotto. It was indescribable. We also ordered the halibut and polenta, and the fish was cooked to the perfect temp and well seasoned. Neither of us typically lean toward polenta as a menu option but if all polenta tasted like this that might change! The fat from the guanciale made it especially velvety and that was an excellent pairing with the fish. Overall, we will be back expeditiously, and hope to encounter the same lovely team!!

When I made the reservations a few weeks prior, the only one I could get was on the patio. This actually turned out to be wonderful because we were the only ones on the patio and there were heat lamps. The menu focuses on Piemontese (I.e., Northern Italian) dishes, and so the dishes don't feature tomatoes or many of the ingredients you may be used to seeing in Italian dishes. We started with the insalata verde and the carciofi appetizers, both of which were incredible. My friend and I each got the cavatelli with morels and my spouse got the tajarin with ragu. Our server told us that they make the tajarin in-house and the two tajarin dishes are mainstays on the menu. And while the tajarin was wonderful, I preferred the cavatelli.

Let me tell you, Lupo is high on my list of "Best 'Za In Seattle", and it will be on yours as well. The waiter told us something about how they're "fancy pizza but not stuck up" (not a direct quote), which fits right in with Seattle gastronomic philosophy. It's worth trying to get here early in the night, because it can be difficult to get a seat. And you want to have some time to sit down and enjoy this pizza. Make sure you wear your best sitting pants though, because you're in for a meal that will make you progressively adjust the belt loops as time goes on. I'm sure that there are plenty of top notch pizzas across the menu here, but the Caesar salad may have been a best-in-class item. The dressing was perfectly balanced with just enough anchovy taste, and there was exactly enough of it on every bite. Instead of having croutons in the salad, they had a heaping portion of toasted breadcrumbs that made each bite so much more interesting. Caesar himself would be proud. All of the pizzas sounded great, but I was pretty sure that they would be able to execute on a cacio e pepe flawlessly here, and I wasn't disappointed. The initial bite was everything that I could have hoped for. But I would make sure that you demolish this pizza promptly - it's not one that's great as leftovers. I think that is the case for most pizza of this style anyways. I am ridiculously excited about coming back to Lupo in the future to try more pizzas. If you are currently reading this and haven't been here yet, I strongly urge you to close this review and head there immediately!

FOOD POISONING ALERT…read more I'm 8 months pregnant and came here on Mother's Day with my husband and toddler, hoping for a nice family celebration. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. I ordered the seafood linguine special, while my husband had the veal marsala. The seafood in my pasta immediately tasted off -- especially the clams and mussels, which seemed old and likely frozen for far too long. Even my toddler, who normally LOVES seafood pasta at Italian restaurants, refused to take a second bite after trying it. I enjoyed seafood pasta from many other places but could barely finish my food that day. Later that night, I developed severe abdominal pain. At 8 months pregnant, any cramping is terrifying, and I genuinely thought I might be going into labor. After hours of pain coming and going, bloating, gas, vomiting, and diarrhea the next day, it became pretty obvious the food was the cause. Ruined Mother's Day and caused unnecessary stress during pregnancy. I will never order seafood from here again.

I tried to order the fettuccine de mare, listed at $29 (no extra fees on Toast), but they told me it would be $43. That already didn't make sense. Then the server says, "We actually have 50% off happy hour until 11, come in and dine." So I came in. Ordered a drink, escargot, and a steak medium rare. The escargot came out fine. Then... nothing. 39 minutes later (at 10:45pm), the server asks if I'm waiting on anything else. Yes... my steak. She goes to check, disappears, and then comes back with something that honestly felt DISTESPECTFUL. The steak looked like scraps. Uneven, mismatched chunks, all different sizes, with burnt, crispy edges and covered in sauce like they were trying to hide it. It didn't look like a single cut of meat it looked like pieces from multiple steaks thrown together. The plating was sloppy, and the side looked like an afterthought. I didn't take a bite. I looked through it and said, "This looks like pieces from different steaks." She told me she watched them cut it... then immediately followed that by saying she saw them put it under a heat lamp to reheat. So which is it? I work in the food industry. I'm not going to be gaslit over a plate like that. She offered to refire it, but at that point it was almost 11 and they were closing. I paid for my drink and left. Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset if they had just told me the kitchen was closing when I called. But don't invite me in, forget my order, and then serve something like this and try to pass it off like it's normal. Just be honest.

When we first arrived we were given the option of either the chef's counter or a table. I thought the chef's counter was a unique experience but for the night we opted for a table near the window. The space is intimate and even though there weren't many people there when we first got there, it still gave a warm and cozy vibe (quickly filled up though). The week of my friend's birthday they were only doing Seattle Restaurant Week, which I hadn't realized at first but the menu was amazing regardless. The staff was very attentive to us, constantly checking in on us and making any adjustments as needed. They thoughtfully walked us through our choices and when the food arrived. First we started with appetizers which I thought it was nice that you get to try all them and didn't have to choose one. The salad and asparagus is what you would expect, but they were perfectly done and not overly complex. The stand out was the Seared Tombo, the flavors of this dish were balanced and the fish was clearly very fresh! For our main we both got the halibut option, which came with a side of sunchokes. We had never had sunchokes before but were immediately in love (the fish was cooked to perfection too) but I loved the introduction of not so common ingredient. I thought it was a fun play on traditional "potatoes" almost. I'm glad we were able to try both of the desserts. My favorite was the tiramisu (I always love tiramisu). The carrot cake was more on the dryer side (almost like a cornbread), which isn't my preference but I enjoyed the flavors. Overall, really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back!

We got 4 appetizers, a pasta, an entree, and dessert. My fav items were the shrimp in polenta (shrimp was crispy without seemingly any breading, perfectly cooked and flavored) and the lamb skewers (well seasoned and cooked. Big fan of lamb in general). I also liked the deviled egg on kimchi, though it didn't taste like kimchi very much. The salad had too much dressing unfortunately and the crostini was interesting. We got a few drinks but my main impression is that they are strong! SERVICE Service here was so great and friendly. I only saw 2 front of house and 1 back of house so it's a small place. The front of house also bartend and make the drinks. I do wish the front of house explained the dishes a little more when they brought out the food. They told us the name of the dishes but as I was eating I realized it would've been nice to get a better idea of what was in it exactly, or halfway through I'd think "wait what else is in this?" AMBIANCE Tastefully decorated, small, and intimate. It was not busy when we came at all, with only up to 4 other tables having diners. I think this allowed the staff to focus on each table a little better without being overwhelmed. Overall had a good time. I admittedly wasn't blown out of the water but for $89/person for a fancier meal, I would say this is priced right for what you get (food, service, and ambiance included).
