I inquired about a missing part of an order. Capitol claimed they never received it. Faced with emailed proof that they had not only received it, but had replied to it and filled part of the order, they quit returning my phone calls. Asked if they wanted to do anything to retain me as a customer, their salesman claimed I was threatening them. I had depended on them in the past and recommended them to others. I don't know what happened to them. read more

Which can be scary given the world of scammers looking to take advantage of elderly folks online, etc. I live far away from my mom so couldn't help her directly, but happened to meet Mitch when I was in town when we needed someone and now I have him go help my mom all the time. From everything to do with the printer, her phone, her computer, her wireless router, even her cable TV. And now I have him helping my elderly Aunt - again across all the electronics and computer and phone kinds of things. I'm super super grateful for his services. He's reasonably priced (we can't afford anything but what we need), he's communicative and he looks out to anticipate problems not just react to the ones that have already happened - which is great. My superior insisted that, in addition to making sure everything we were bringing to represent us be eco-friendly, we source our event tent, signs, and giveaway items from local businesses. But with our small budget, we were having difficulty finding these eco-friendly items that we could afford, and FAST. Thankfully, we found IASpromotes.com, which is a local Philadelphia business that creates customized items. Their online catalogue is huge, even for various eco-friendly "green" custom goods, so we eagerly took advantage of their online customer support. They helped us quickly find "green" products that fit into our budget, and even had suggestions for how and where to have our logo imprinted. We were able to order organic t-shirts, recycled plastic water bottles, pens and pencils made from recycled corn plastic and denim, and reusable tote bags to put our giveaway items in! Even our lanyards that held our event badges were biodegradable (which we kept telling everyone about because we thought it was so cool!). I applied to Signature for an assistant manager training program and they called to schedule in…read moreinterview in less that 24 hours while that sounds nice, in my experience I've found that to be a red flag. I did some research on the company and saw that they often engage in door to door selling, which is fine but I am not interested in doing that so I called the office to ask so that I could save both the company and myself some time if that's what they expected me to do. I will note there was no mention of door to door sales on the job description. I called and asked if any part of the training process or the job itself required door to door sales and the woman on the phone assured me that they did not engage in cold calling or door to door sales, now feeling much better about the situation I decided to go. Now to be fair they were very clear about their expectations in the actual interview, which to my dismay included door to door sales. While I respect the clarity in the interview I didn't appreciate being mislead into showing up. I asked very clearly on the phone and they did not answer honestly, perhaps they thought they could convince me. I anticipate that their response will be that they do not employ the door to door sales method because they instead go to clients off a preferred client list. However, this is clearly semantic difference and they most likely knew what I meant on the phone. I understand that door to door sales doesn't sound attractive on a job description but I believe it's better to be as honest and as up front as possible. The job search process can be very time consuming so I really don't think it's fair to be unclear with potential candidates.
