So tender is falls apart with a fork touch. The service staff was very helpful recommending me a sweet vermouth that I enjoyed with my meal. Only reason, I did not give it five stars, because the temperature of my food was served a little too cold for my liking. However, after telling the staff about this issue, they were more than happy to redo my entrées a hotter temperature.

When you go across the river, it is even less people that speak a little bit of English. This cool restaurant had really great service, and we sat by the bar. The bar was pretty impressive as well. They had a pretty large tapas menu as well. I ordered the ox-tails and menudo. Of course I got a beer as well. Menudo is cow stomach stew and it was amazing! Lots of great spices and super tender tripe. The ox-tails were super tender and flavorful. Just perfect with every bite! This place was fantastic. We left here and you can walk to one of the river cruises in about 10 minutes, which I would recommend.

At this point I've tried probably half the menu and there's not a single thing that I haven't liked it's always good and the quantity that comes on the plate is pretty large for being as a tapas bar. A lot of restaurants are only open for Sunday lunch, so we tried to do some research on where would be open on Sunday that had some veggie options. This came up with decent reviews and so we gave it a go. Menus are in Spanish only, with several vegetarian options. We got the 3-cheese risotto, roasted potatoes "three ways" and my partner got some ham platter. The risotto was OK, but was obviously from frozen and microwaved, so partly hot and partly lukewarm, and not much flavour. The ham was also OK but nothing special. The potatoes weren't cooked through, and the "three ways" were the sauces, ketchup, mayo and something orange that tasted like ketchup and mayo. So why doesn't it get 1*? It was open on Sunday night and fed me some food that didn't kill me. It's probably best to think of this as a bar that serves some food to line the stomach, rather than a proper tapas bar worth a trip. Oh, and if you still want to go after my ringing endorsement, make sure you check the address and map-- in January 2016 when we were there, the map linked to from the Yelp app (Apple maps) had this in the wrong location by about 1/2 mile, but if you checked on Google maps, the location was right. Their customers' favorite (and ours as well) seems to be the Piripi - the most delicious little sandwich tapa imaginable! Soooooo weird. They were supposed to be served in a cone, but only a few pieces were, the rest were on a bed of lettuce and that made them all soggy. Ewwww. The pork sirloin looked promising - until I bit into a thicker piece that was undercooked, and it's pork... I wanted to tell them but since their English was so bad I just didn't bother. The grilled veg was just normal grilled veg - kind of flavourless but I needed some veg after so many days of mainly meaty tapas. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place... although the menu looks promising and the decor etc is nice. The waiters were helpful but the fact that they can't even understand basic English makes it hard for people who don't speak Spanish.

It looked like a small place but it appears there is a larger dining room upstairs. We sat downstairs. The service was friendly and we made it through the ordering with our limited Spanish. I ordered the half portion of Iberico Jamon for 12 euros. Not cheap but excellent. Also a bowl of the Andulsian version of gazpacho - salmorejo. Very tasty. My wife got the almond chicken which took awhile to prepare so it was a surprise that it was barely warm. Disappointing. A mixed experience.

We came for dinner around 9:30 pm on a Wednesday evening. I knew it was a popular spot with locals and tourists alike, so I was afraid it'd be crowded, but we were seated immediately on the second floor. The restaurant is massive and takes up all 3 floors of the building, so I think generally you can get seated pretty quickly. I started with a glass of sangria for 6€. We were starving so we each ordered 3 tapas dishes, which in hindsight may have been a bit too much food. I think 4-5 for the two of us would've been the right amount, as portions are fairly large here. The nice thing about their menu is that there's something for everything, with a large meat and seafood selection but also a lot of options for vegetarians as well. Given that most of the dishes are only 3-4.50€ for the tapas side, it's such a steal. Portions were larger than I expected for the price too. My vegetarian friend absolutely loved the food here, especially the fried onions with peppers. I thought my dishes were good but not amazing. My favorite was probably the Pluma Iberico, which is the top cut of Iberian pork. Would definitely recommend giving Taberna Coloniales a try when you're in Sevilla!

I ordered the paella tapa. It was mediocre, it tasted like it had been sitting on the stove all day or was reheated. But...it was a place to sit and I felt better after eating. I think this place might be geared towards feeding large tour groups. If you ate here, I'm sorry be aware that there are many better places. I will share my list of Sevilla favorites.

The next tapas place I went to definitely didn't do this dish justice the way Levies did. I also had the tortilla de patatas with whiskey. The tortilla itself was cooked fresh and fluffy to eat - but the whiskey sauce tasted mostly like olive oil with a hint of sugar. And by sauce, I mean a small swimming pool. While I wasn't blown away by the other dishes I tried, I'd still say that this Is a solid place, especially because of the beef cheek, especially if you need a bite or two for lunch. Food arrived a bit late, otherwise this place was not bad.
