Usually I get sandwiches delivered from this location, but today we stopped in for pickup. While I was waiting for my sandwich, I started to notice how dirty this location is. The counter around the kitchen had a thick layer of dust on the whole surface, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Online ordering rocks. Capriotti's is a long-standing chain of sandwich shops which I first grew to love when I moved to Nevada way back when. I don't go to them regularly - perhaps not regularly enough considering the convenience and flavor. I had been notified via their app of a Labor Day weekend coupon for $5 off sandwiches and decided to take advantage of the offer. The app is useful; I was able to select which shop I wanted (I chose this location because it was the closest to me), apply the coupon, and pay. I timed my arrival for 15 minutes after ordering, aka the promise time of the ASAP option, and my sandwich was indeed ready for pickup by then. My selection was my original favorite, the large Capastrami ($16.99 normally). It was still a great choice. It was wrapped tightly in paper and sliced neatly in half. The first half was just the portion which I was looking for, and the second half performed as well or even better as oven-reheated leftovers. The sandwich itself had plenty of meat, slaw, and dressing. The bread was just fine and crisped up nicely when reheated. I will definitely keep Capriotti's in mind for my sandwich cravings. I've had tastier options from other Las Vegas establishments, but this is still the best for a casual, convenient chain type of place. read more

I always love coming to this shop because the sandwiches are so good but I think this will be my last time attending this particular shop. One of the cooks did not follow Covid protocol by wearing a mask at all times. He was singing and dancing, running in and out of the building with no mask. This sandwich shop has vegan options. If you don't mind plant based meat and just veggies on your sandwich, the sandwich is on point. The bread holds the sandwich well. The plant base meat is tasty. I usually get a cold deli sandwich, which always satisfy that deli hunger as a vegan. I usually get it to go since the place doesn't really look like a sit down place. As a vegetarian, I love the fact that they have the 'Impossible' Cheesesteak using fake meat. To me, they taste absolutely wonderful, though in my opinion, they & most of Capriotti's food is way-overpriced. Using the GrubHub app already installed on my cellphone, at 5:50PM on a Saturday afternoon I ordered one large Impossible Cheesesteak sandwich to-go from this Capriotti's location -- no extra items on it, and nothing else in the order. The *first* issue is that the price via the GrubHub app came to $26 (for customer pickup, NOT delivery) -- price listed on Capriotti's menu board is $19.99. Now that's probably a GrubHub issue, not Capriotti's, and I will address it appropriately. But the reason I used GrubHub instead of the Capriotti's app is because I had a $5 electronic coupon, so that bumped the price down to $21 -- still way too expensive for what it is. Also because this Impossible Cheesesteak is so over-priced (& the delays in the order being ready are so common) that despite it tasting so good, I simply don't patronize Capriotti's enough to keep their app on my phone. I paid for my one item order instantly through the app. Anyway, at 5:51PM, I received a text message indicating my food should be ready between 6:10-6:20PM, and and email indicating "Your food should be ready between 6:15pm - 6:25pm." I walked inside at 6:20PM, knowing that maybe that my order was ready, maybe I'd have to wait 5 minutes. There were about 5 people inside waiting already, and I could tell that some weren't very happy, so I started to get a little nervous... I was hungry & just wanted to get home & eat my dinner. I'd placed my order THIRTY MINUTES prior, so certainly the wait couldn't be long, right? Wrong... At 6:32PM, they asked my name, then checked around, and the young woman said "We're almost done with it." But as she said that, another person was just starting to make what turned-out to be my order, 7 minutes past the latest time my order was supposed to be ready for pickup, and 42 minutes after my simple order was placed. At 6:42PM, I was finally handed my order and insincerely told "I'm really sorry for the wait." There was a staff of three people inside. Perhaps that was the first problem -- if they know they're busy Saturday evenings, either have one or two more workers there, or have the 'A' team there -- the staff there were like zombies. While none were standing around twiddling their thumbs, I studied them and other customers for the twenty two minutes -- including the SEVENTEEN MINUTES past the latest time my order was supposed to be ready -- that I had to stand there & wait inside the store and they clearly had no leadership, no motivation, and no drive to work rapidly & effectively (compared to the employees at an In & Out or Five Guys), and most customers standing around in there seemed to have their own issues with the place too. Perhaps the workers don't get a lot of tips, but perhaps the reason they don't get tips is because they're chronically slow in making orders, causing people to wait a dozen+ minutes past the time they were informed their order should have been ready like was the case with me... In my direct experience there, none of the employees deserved a tip and I'm sure glad I didn't leave them one (didn't seem like any of the pother customers that came in before or after me did either during the time I Was there). I ordered the grilled chicken parmesan cheesesteak today at this location. First off, i'm supposing the manger came to take my order and seemed very confused as I was ordering. I told her no onions and she gave me a dirty look. I brushed this off and sat down and waited for my food. As soon as i got my food i bit into it and there was barely any chicken. My family and I were visiting and looking for some deli food. I really enjoyed the small Veggie Chicken Cheesesteak.It did not have that artificial meat taste. It was so tasty as well as the tomato bisque soup. It was the perfect portion! The rest of the family enjoyed the chicken noodle soup and the following sandwiches: the Capastrami, Cheesesteak, and Homemade Tuna. The two salads that we ordered were the Balsamic Chicken and the BBQ Chicken and both were great portions, gave plenty of dressing and very filling. The largest size for the subs are great if you are sharing or want to save it for later. We ordered online and was a very easy process and while ordering you can add and customize. It was all very tasty and highly recommend if you are looking for something heartier. The bread was soft but had that crunch but not too heavy. We also ordered extra hot peppers which we were charged for and they left that out. When you don't live right next door to a place it would be nice if they can get your order correct....it's not rocket science....how hard if you wrote everything down is it double check an order before you give it out.
