    1/2 chicken salad wrap
    Bill K.

Beautiful day here on the eastern shore of Maryland and a very nice lunch for the four of us. We came by boat and it's always been easy to find a place to tie up to at capsize. We opted to eat at their outdoor deck as it was a beautiful day. We shared an order of onion rings that were very good and while I don't think they were homemade they were cooked perfectly and hit the spot. Wife and I split a chicken salad wrap and our two friends each had the shrimp salad wrap. The chicken salad is especially good and while both our friends enjoyed the shrimp salad I don't think it is quite as good as the chicken salad. Each one of those can very easily be shared especially if you have onion rings as an appetizer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]there were very few people when we arrived just before noon but by the time we left the outdoor deck was filling up nicely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We need to branch out on our selections and try some different things as all the food we saw coming out looked very very nice, everything from crab cake to softshell crabs two various salads. Our waitress was very attentive and kept our glasses filled. Looking forward to getting back there a few more times before they close for the season and we will definitely try some other options

Great eatery on the water in Oxford. Many boats dock in that area and passengers stop over for lunch or dinner. The place has not just location going for them but also ambiance and food. The interior is airy and has a nautical theme. The patio is very relaxing and overlooks the bay. We opted to dine outdoors. I had the fish and chips, made with rockfish in a light beer batter. The fish was fresh, the portion was generous. The chips that accompanied the dish were regular fries (no malt vinegar) but still very good. My companion liked his rockfish platter. Will be back during the summer again!

Went in on a whim for Saturday dinner. Not crowded at all. We were seated immediately. Our server was very friend and polite. The drinks, though a tad pricey for me, we're large and quit strong! The food came out quickly and in order, with just enough time for us to finish our appetizers. I had the fish and ships (chips), and it was AMAZING! The piece of fish was bigger than my hand and barely fit on the plate. The breading was authentic, and not burnt. The fish itself was flaky and smooth, not overly fishy and melted in my mouth. My other half had the swordfish and raved about how it was perfect, and we'll paired with a vegetable side. After we ate, we weren't held hostage for the check, as our friendly server was also quite efficient. Definitely a nice date night dinner spot, and you can go around the corner for ice cream after!

We stopped here for lunch a couple of days ago. Great spot on the water and they are dog friendly outside. I had the fish and chips. It was advertised as rockfish, but it definitely seemed like cod. I didn't bother asking about it because it was still good. My husband got the monte cristo sandwich and he liked it even though they forgot the powdered sugar. I tried and it wasn't for me. We will definitely come back.

Initially assigned one waitress and then another brought us our cocktails. Highlight of the evening was definitely the appetizers. After that the service and food went quickly downhill.

Shrimp salad wrap and tuna and watermelon salad.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely outside area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got the special cold watermelon soup- had a fizzy consistency and didn't taste very much like watermelon. The shrimp salad wrap was lacking shrimp salad. The fried oysters were delicious. The tuna and watermelon salad was good but hardly any tuna. The food is on the pricey side so I would expect better portions and taste.

    Dog on the deck.

I had 1 pancake with bananas and chocolate chips and chipped beef gravy on top. A little unusual, but oh so good! Pancake was huge. Brought it back to our room and nibbled on it all night. After spending the afternoon wandering through the shops in St. Michaels on my first-ever visit to…read moretown, I found myself craving one thing for dinner. A really good burger. Actually...a really good burger with crab dip on it. Naturally, I started searching for somewhere that could satisfy both cravings at once and landed on Carpenter Street Saloon, a laid-back local watering hole that's been serving up food, drinks and good times in the heart of St. Michaels for decades. Their menu had both burgers and crab dip, but not together. Challenge accepted! I arrived around 4:30pm on a Friday during Fourth of July weekend and somehow managed to snag the very last parking spot in their small lot. Even better, as I walked inside, a booth just inside the front door opened up. The adventure gods were clearly looking out for me! The atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for. Folks were gathered around the bar enjoying drinks, conversations filled the room and absolutely nobody cared that I had wandered in by myself for dinner. Sometimes that's exactly the kind of place you need after a long day of adventuring. I studied the menu for approximately three seconds before asking my waitress what I assumed would be a ridiculous question. "Could I get a burger...with crab dip on it?" Without missing a beat, she smiled and said, "Absolutely! We actually used to have that on the menu, but nobody ordered it." I couldn't stop grinning! "Well," I replied, "I'm somebody...and I want it for dinner tonight!" One more vacation victory! For $16.00, my custom Bay Burger arrived piled high with rich, creamy crab dip and melted cheese dripping over the thick burger patty exactly as I'd imagined it. It was everything I'd hoped it would be! Juicy burger. Creamy crab dip. Gooey cheese. The combination just...worked! In fact...it worked so well that I briefly considered ordering another one before remembering I still had dessert plans later that evening. (Responsible Adult Alexis eventually won that internal debate.) I chose the coleslaw as my side, and while the flavor was really good, it was a little drier than I personally prefer. That's entirely a preference thing, though. If you're someone who likes a less creamy coleslaw, this one will probably be right up your alley. My Diet Pepsi was $4.00, bringing my total to just $21.20 before tip. Honestly, for a custom burger loaded with crab dip in the middle of one of Maryland's busiest holiday weekends, I thought that was an excellent value. Carpenter Street Saloon isn't trying to be fancy. It's comfortable. It's welcoming. It's the kind of neighborhood bar where locals and visitors alike can settle in, enjoy a great meal and relax for a while. If you're visiting St. Michaels and find yourself craving a burger, do yourself a favor...ask them to bring back the crab dip burger. Apparently nobody orders it. Except me. And now hopefully you!

We tried a little bit of everything on the menu - the bread, oysters, cucumber salad, scallops, fries, rigatoni, and two desserts. Everything was incredible - creative yet comprehensible and decent portions for a more expensive restaurant. If you go during the 4-6pm window you'll have access to happy hour with discounted house wines and a few dishes. Jordan was our server and was great at convincing us to try certain things that later became an obsession (cucumber salad). Great lighting, lots of bench seating, and quick service. I'd go out of my way to eat here again and would recommend everything on the menu!

The seafood was excellent. We loved the oysters and the tuna sushi that you roll yourself--it was fun and delicious. The potato chips with Iberian ham and manchego were incredible and one of the most memorable bites of the night. Service was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The desserts were also fantastic. The labneh ice cream was completely out of this world, and the olive oil cake was excellent as well. A couple of small notes: the endive salad wasn't our favorite because it was covered in onions, which wasn't mentioned and unfortunately I really dislike onions. Also, the pork chop tasted amazing but we did notice toward the end that part of it was a bit undercooked. That said, overall the meal was excellent and we had a really great time. Definitely a memorable dining experience in St. Michaels.
